Hi Paco,
Thanks for checking in with me.
I forwarded your request to the team and they know about it, but since it is a new feature request, we’d need some time to handle it.
We’ll get back to you about the progress next week.
Thanks,
ChiaraHi Paco,
Thank your for reaching out to us!
You can see the full list of advertising options with FV Player here: https://foliovision.com/player/ads.
FV Player also has the Sticky video feature which enables a video to play in a mini video player that appears in the bottom corner of the page: https://foliovision.com/player/advanced/sticky-video.
I’ll check with our team if it is possible to combine and implement using the ads with this feature as a pop up video and we’ll get back to you.
Thanks,
Chiara- This reply was modified 3 years, 5 months ago by Chiara Rendekova. Reason: Added a link to the the Sticky video documentation
Hi Kendell,
We received your screenshot and link to a problematic Interactive Transcript. I can see that the buttons within the box are not responding.
Could you please try some basic troubleshooting steps of switching to a default WordPress theme? If this doesn’t help, you can try to deactivate your plugins one by one to see if there’s any conflict causing the issue.
If the issue persists, please let us know and our development team would have a closer look.
Thanks,
ChiaraHi Kendell,
Sure, you can send us a direct URL to a video with problematic transcript and screenshot here, and we will hide it so that it isn’t shown publicly.
Thanks,
Chiara3 years ago in reply to: Error when playing on mobile devicesHi Rene,
Thank you for reaching out to us and reporting about the issue.
Could you give us more information about which mobile device type, operating system version and browser version does get this error, please?
Also, please check the video type and you can send it to us as a Video Checker submission: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/how-to-use-video-checker
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Subtitles for PlaylistHi Kurt,
The correct shortcode structure for VTT subtitle file is explained here: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/shortcode-parameters#subtitles.
This is the URL form you posted: subtitles_en=”https://www.operaonvideo.com/subtitles/103476_en1.vtt. Please, change it to: subtitles=”https://www.operaonvideo.com/subtitles/103476_en1.vtt ” and it should work.
Let us know if it worked fine.

4 years ago in reply to: Download of YT videosHi Kurt,
Thank you for asking!
The FV Player Pro offers the Video Downloading feature, which can be currently used only by manually creating shortcodes and allows the users to download the video content. Read more about the feature and how it works here: https://foliovision.com/player/advanced/video-downloading-with-simple-history.
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Loading FV Player for all videos on websiteHi kulshreshtha,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
Generally, you can insert your videos with FV Player either through the shortcode or the FV Player shortcode editor where you paste in the video URL from the server where it’s stored. Both ways are covered in our Start-Up Guide: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/start-up-guide.
Let us know if this answered your question. In case you meant some other way of inserting the videos with FV Player, please describe it to us and I’ll forward it to our development team.
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Subtitles for PlaylistHi Kurt,
Thanks for asking!
Open the playlist in the FV Player Shortcode editor –> Click on a video from the playlist –> Go to the Subtitles tab –> Add the subtitle file. This way you can add a subtitle file to each video separately.
Let us know if this helped.
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Screenshot problemHi Sandor,

Chiara4 years ago in reply to: My mp4 videos from my files won’t loadHi Dare,
Thank you for reaching out to us and using FV Player!
Do you want to insert self-hosted videos or are you hosting somewhere else?
Please, read our installation guide and check the Server requirements to make sure that your videos use the correct mime types: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/installation.
After that, please read how to insert your videos with FV Player: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/start-up-guide#insert-videos.
Let us know if it this helped, or if there’s anything else we can assist you with.

Chiara4 years ago in reply to: problem WordPress Version: 5.7.1Hi Kinis,
Thank you for your report!
I’m glad you were able to solve your issue.
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: problem WordPress Version: 5.7.1Hi Kinis,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
We didn’t receive any reports about issues with our plugin in WordPress 5.7.1 so far, so we don’t think your issue is related to that specifically.
What kind of issues do you encounter with video playback and your website, please?
Every time we update our plugin and make bigger changes in the code, you have to make sure that you don’t remove query string versions – you can read all the details in the article which was also included in the Check template message: https://foliovision.com/2017/06/wordpress-cdn-best-practices.

Thanks,
ChiaraHi Kendell,
I just wanted to ask if you still have any issues with the Interactive Transcript toggle button?
The button to collapse the box is now a part of the latest FV Player Pro 7.4.40.727 version.
If you’re still having issues, please let us know.

Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Disable Ads for specific video contentHi jm,
Thank you for providing us the video.
The Action tab in the documentation link which Martin has sent you can be found in the FV Player Shortcode editor, not in the FV Player plugin settings which are shown in the video.
Please, go to a specific video on the page embedded with FV Player for which you’d like to disable the ad and click on the shortcode to open the FV Player Shortcode editor with the respective settings tabs. Here’s also a guide to how the shortcode looks like in a post, or in the FV Player Database: https://foliovision.com/player/advanced/player-database.
Also, please do not delete the free version of FV Player, otherwise the Pro version won’t work properly.
Let us know if there’s anything else we can assist you with.
Thanks,
ChiaraHi Noah,
Thank you for contacting us with your idea!
I’ll forward it to our development team to consider it and we’ll get back to you.

Chiara4 years ago in reply to: edit speed button parametersHi Romus,
Thanks for asking!
Yes, it is – you can edit and set up the speed steps by going to Settings -> FV Player -> Setup tab -> Sitewide Flowplayer Defaults below the Speed Buttons box, in Speed Steps. Please, read this guide where the details are explained: https://foliovision.com/player/advanced/speed-buttons.
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Safari mute the videoHi Alexo,
Thank you for contacting us!
Could you let us know more information about the new hosting you are using?
Also, does your built-in video checker? show any errors? The way the video checker works is that you need to come in as admin and open the video checker and send us a report about the video. It works on desktops.
Another troubleshooting step which you could try is to open your browser developer console (here’s how https://foliovision.com/player/troubleshooting/javascript-browser-console), then try to load the page with the video again and see, if any error appears on the console.
Thanks,
ChiaraHi André,
Thank you for asking!
You can find all your players in the FV Player Shortcode Database and simply copy the shortcode of the video which you’d like to insert to a page and paste it into the post, or page in the back-end. To find the database go to your WP dashboard–> FV Player –> Videos/Playlists.
Here’s the guide on how to use the FV Player Shortcode Database: https://foliovision.com/player/advanced/player-database.
Thanks,
ChiaraHi John,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
If the name of your input file has spaces in it, it shouldn’t be a problem, as long as the URL format is correct. The Decrypt button is meant to be used for decrypting an Output Key (which is a different kind of key) from AWS Elastic Transcoder job, not for the Static key value of MediaConvert.
What happens when you hit the Insert button and try to play the stream on your website?
If it doesn’t play and shows errors, could you please send us a report via our built-in video checker? The way the video checker works is that you need to come in as admin and open the video checker and send us a report about the video. It works on desktops.
It would also help if you could use the built-in video checker, take a screenshot of the report and post it here.

Chiara4 years ago in reply to: MOV verses MP4 In the FutureHi Ralph,
Check our guide for the best practices of video encoding for HTML5: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/encoding.
It is not so easy to predict the changes in supported formats across different browsers but generally, since the MOV format is not officially supported by HTML5, we are not sure when you could run into possible issues and therefore recommend that you re-encode these videos into MP4.
MOV sometimes contains codec combinations that are not supported across all browsers. Plays well on Apple computers by default, but on Windows computers QuickTime codec might be required to be installed by the user. It is recommended to include another version of your video in MP4 and/or WebM format.
As a Pro user, you need to have both FV Player and FV Player Pro plugins activated, but there is no need to have both in the dashboard. Only FV Player is enough.
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Issue setting up Coconut+DigitalOcean #2Hi Shin,
Thank you for reporting to us the issue!
The issue might be specific for each user, so please try first some general troubleshooting steps – let us know if you are using any browser extensions or a plugin. You can try disabling them one by one to see if any of them interferes with the fields. Please, try the wizard in a different browser on in incognito mode.
Also, you can send over a list of your plugins from Settings -> FV Player -> Tools -> System Info.
Thanks,
ChiaraHi Mark,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
The file formats supported by FV Player are FLAC (not supported by Internet Explorer) and MP3. OGG is supported as well, but it is not supported by Safari browsers and Internet Explorer, which is probably why uploading of the .m3u playlist doesn’t work. You can read the full guide on How to Use Audio Tracks in FV Player here: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/audio-tracks-player.
Are you able to upload the separate .mp3 files through FV Player shortcode editor? That way you can merge them into one playlist. Here’s the full guide on how to create Playlists with FV Player: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/creating-playlists and a Demo on how an audio playlist looks like on a page: https://foliovision.com/player/demos/mp3-in-fv-player#playlist.

Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Smart Tv BrowserHi Usman,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
Does the video play normally besides trying to cast it to a smart TV?
If you use Google Chromecast, here is our full guide on how to use it with FV Player – you can check step by step what needs to be done to make the feature work: https://foliovision.com/player/advanced/chromecast.
If the issue persists despite following those steps, could you please test if you can cast any of our Demo videos to your smart TV: https://foliovision.com/player/demos?
Also, could you please send us over the contents of Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Tools -> System Info and information about which type of device do you experience the issue with?
Thanks,
ChiaraHi Luke,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
Could you send us over the contents of Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Tools -> System Info, please? Also, on which devices (iOS, Android) and browsers does this issue occur?
It might be a potential conflict between your theme or some other WordPress plugin you’re using. Please try the following troubleshooting steps – switch to a default WordPress theme, or deactivate other plugins one by one to see if it helps solve your issue. If not, please send us a direct URL where we can test the issue and take a closer look on what might be causing it.
Thanks,
ChiaraHi Jörn,
Thank you for providing the link.
I could reproduce the same issue. In Safari I had to refresh the page around five times until the error appeared. In Chrome and Firefox I couldn’t play the video at first but when I refreshed the page it started to work.
I’ll forward this to our developer to take a closer look on what might be causing the issue.
Thanks,
ChiaraHi Jörn,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
Could you please send us a direct link to the problematic video so that we can test it?
Also, which version of FV Player are you currently using?
Thanks,
ChiaraHi Chuluunkhuleg,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
Unfortunately, the video URL that you’ve sent is is private, so I couldn’t test it myself. Does this problem occur only with that particular video, or in general?
Do you have the same issue with full-screen mode when you play the YouTube hosted demo video on our website: https://foliovision.com/player/demos/youtube-embedding?Please, also send us information about the device you’re using and your user agent information.

Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Nova versão parou de funcionarHi Amaral,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
You mentioned that the FV Player 7 stopped working for you, and asked where you can download the previous version of FV Player. Please, let us know how specifically the player stopped working and on which device.
You can get the FV Player 6 on FV Player WordPress.org page in the “Previous Versions” section, but please note that the old version stays as it is and we won’t be fixing it apart from some urgent security fixes.
Making the web work for you,
ChiaraHi Yoshida,
Thank you for the screenshot.
Please, also click on the red warning shown by Admin Video Checker in the left upper corner and send us the report or just take a screenshot of the report and post it here.
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: extended privacy mode for youtubeHi Katrin,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
Could you specify what you mean by the ”Enhanced Privacy Mode”, please?
If you do mean making the videos private, it will restrict the YouTube’s own YouTube Player API (which our player is using for delivering content) to not show the videos even in third party players.
Even if the video was shown while being private, there would be no problem to download it with any of the free video downloading extensions.
If you want to protect your videos from downloading, you will, unfortunately, have to look for another hosting solution.
Thanks,
ChiaraHi recai,
Thank you for asking!
Of course. The DRM Text feature is available for the FV Player Pro users, and you can read more about how the feature works and looks like in action here: Protecting Videos With DRM Text.
We are constantly working on new improvements, so recently we also added the option of setting the DRM Text to visible at all times: DRM Text Can Now Be Set to Be Visible at All Times and we released a fix which disables the Picture-in-Picture option for videos with DRM Text that was bypassing it.
Thanks,
ChiaraHi Yoshida,
Do you get the Admin JavaScript warning?
Could you please try to open your browser developer console (here’s how https://foliovision.com/player/troubleshooting/javascript-browser-console), then load the page with your video and check if you see any errors on the console? They might appear right on page load or after you play the video.
Let us know about the results or you can send us a screenshot again.
Thanks,
ChiaraHi Yoshida,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
Could you please send us a report via our built-in video checker? The way the video checker works is that you need to come in as admin and open the video checker and send us a report about the video. It works on desktops.
It would also help if you could use the built-in video checker, take a screenshot of the report and post it here.

Chiara4 years ago in reply to: SubtitlesHi Sam,
Adding a subtitle file, or more files to your video is possible through the FV Player Shortcode editor in the Subtitles tab. Please, make sure that this feature is turned on in Settings –> FV Player –> Post Interface Options.
Also, the subtitles file has to be prepared in the required .vtt format. Read more in our guide: https://foliovision.com/player/advanced/subtitles.
Let us know if the issue persisted even after having the Subtitles feature turned on, or if the issue was solved.
Thanks,
ChiaraHi Fernando,
Normally, you should be able to go to wp-admin -> Plugins and update the FV Player from there.
If you can’t see this option there, please deactivate and delete the current FV Player plugin you are using, then go to wp-admin -> Settings -> FV Player and press the Apply Pro upgrade button at the top of the screen. WordPress will warn you that you might loose settings and data, but it’s not the case with out plugin, no settings nor videos will be lost.
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: BEST PLUGIN EVERHi Doomnezeu,
Thank you for your kind words! We are happy to know you are enthusiastic about using FV Player.

Making the web work for you,
ChiaraHi Ferdinand,

I couldn’t play the demo video on Chrome either. Could you please send us a report via our built-in video checker? The way the video checker works is that you need to come in as admin and open the video checker and send us a report about the video. It works on desktops.
Using that we might be able to figure out what is the issue with video encoding.
Also, while it is possible to store your videos on cloud hosting providers such as Google Drive, One Drive, A Drive and Dropbox, there is a list of reasons why we don’t recommend it for playback on a website: https://foliovision.com/2019/07/bad-hosting-for-videos.

Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Control bar always visibleHi Dan,
Thanks for asking!
As far as social media is concerned, currently, the options are limited to Facebook and Twitter: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/managing-sharing-buttons.
You can also share the video through e-mail: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/customing-email-sharing or use the iFrame embedding which lets you paste the video anywhere you choose: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/using-iframe-embedding.
Do you have in mind any particular social media platform to which you’d like videos to share directly through the FV Player?
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Control bar always visibleHi Dan,
I’m glad to know your issue was solved.
Currently, the FV Player doesn’t offer a function that would take a particular screenshot from a video and set it as the splash image automatically, unless the video is hosted on Vimeo or YouTube.
However, we developed the Thumbnail Generator tool which is directly in your FV Player shortcode editor and which lets you choose the ideal screenshot from the video and set it as its splash image: https://foliovision.com/2019/07/new-video-thumbnail-generator.
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Statistics do not appear in Google Analytics.Hi mktgidital,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
Do you mean that the issue affects only the video examples you’ve provided to us or video events statistics in general, please?
Regarding Google Analytics, did you implement the older Universal Analytics (which is covered in our guides for FV Player and VAST) or the latest Google Analytics 4?
We currently support only the older UA model, which seems to be more straightforward for tracking Video Events. The implementation of Google Analytics 4 with FV Player is under process, and once it is finished we will publish more information about it but for now, we recommend using the older model.
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Control bar always visibleHi Dan,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
I was able to reproduce your issue. Does it occur also when you are logged in?
Also, could you try switching to a default WordPress template and check if the issue persists? Simply, to rule out whether there is some sort of conflict between the Flowplayer CSS and your theme.
If this wouldn’t solve the issue, our development team would take a closer look.
Thanks,

ChiaraHi Justin,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
When I’m trying to open the video link, all I get is a blank screen, and the same applies to the embedding. Did you set any privacy restriction for the stream?
Alternatively, could you please check if the livestream video shows any signs of issues via our built-in Admin Video Checker: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/how-to-use-video-checker? The way the video checker works is that you need to log in as admin, go open the video and send us a report about it if it shows any errors.
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Setup ErrorsHi Caitlin,

Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Muted VideosHi yairbr,
First, please use our Admin Video Checker on the problematic videos to make sure the videos encoding doesn’t have any issues, here’s how to: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/how-to-use-video-checker.
If the Checker doesn’t show any issues, would it be possible to send us only a link/URL to the problematic muted video/s? We need this to see the video playback directly on your website to find out if there isn’t any potential theme/plugin conflict.
You can send it to us via revealit.me if you don’t want your link to be public.
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Muted VideosHello yairbr,

Do they occur on desktop or also on mobile devices, and in any specific browser?
Could you please also send us over the contents of Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Tools -> System Info, and the URLs to such problematic videos where we can see the issue?
I’ll forward it to our development team to take a closer look.

Chiara4 years ago in reply to: FB link loads longHi Kris,
Thanks for specifying the issue.
Please go to the pages with problematic videos in Firefox and open your Browser Console. You can open the Browser Console either by selecting it from the Web Developer submenu in the Firefox Menu, or by a right click –> Inspect Element, then choose to view the Console tab.
What does it say? Can you see any errors shown in the logs? Optionally, you can send us over screenshot of the console logs.

Chiara4 years ago in reply to: FB link loads longHi Kris,
I tried watching videos on your website by clicking on various posts on your Facebook page and they all played quickly and fine, without any buffering issues. I tested this on Safari, Chrome, and Firefox (on both OS X and Windows) and spotted no difference or errors.
It seems more like an issue with bandwidth causing the videos to buffer so long before starting to play. Try to run a speed test and optimize your bandwidth to see if it improves the performance.
Thanks,
ChiaraHi Kendell,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
The button next to the Transcript search Next/Previous buttons is not a bug. It serves to roll up and elegantly hide the Interactive Transcript box, giving the users the freedom to show the box only when they need it.
You can also see the button in our latest demo here: https://foliovision.com/2020/11/interactive-video-transcript-playlist-supported.

Chiara4 years ago in reply to: HLS encrypted with signed URLHi talbotp,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
Yes, our Stream Loader feature gives the FV Player Pro users the option to protect their HLS streams with URL tokens. It works with any CDN supported by FV Player Pro (CloudFront, Bunny CDN, KeyCDN, Cloudflare, StackPath) and AWS S3 or DigitalOcean Spaces.
See the guide here: https://foliovision.com/2020/11/hls-download-protection-cloudfront and our demo here: https://foliovision.com/player/demos/amazon-signed-urls.
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: embed to wrong display?Hi Kris,
I’m glad to know your were able to solve your issue and that everything works fine now.
Correct, the ”id” parameter of a shortcode generates the next number in order by default. That means that if [fvplayer id="8"] is the latest shortcode in your database and you delete it, the next shortcode will be [fvplayer id="9"].
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: embed to wrong display?Hi Kris,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
What happened when you clicked on the Ofiara/wsparcie link? Were you redirected to an existing page with a player or is it maybe some removed page?
If you for some reason cannot find or access the page, you can optionally delete the player from your FV Player Database which will remove any player with a video from the page. Then upload the video again only to the 790-2 page.
Thanks,
ChiaraHi Sammy,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I’ll forward your question to our development team and we’ll let you know whether this is a limitation specific for live streams, or an issue that can be addressed.
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Movies played directly in FacebookHi Kris,
Thank you for asking.
No, the FV Player is a WordPress plugin and a solution for embedding videos into your posts or pages only on WordPress websites.
If you’d like to stream your videos on Facebook, you cannot just share them as a post from your page or a link to your source page, but they need to be uploaded as a video file directly to your Facebook Page.
Thanks,
Chiara- This reply was modified 3 years, 9 months ago by Chiara Rendekova.

Thank you for bringing this up and reporting about the issue.
I tested the URL – both videos played fine in Safari Version 14.0.1 browser, but I could reproduce the cracking sound issue in Chrome Version 88.0.4324.96.
I’ll forward the error to our development team to further solve this issue and we’ll get back to you soon.

Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Make video undownloadableHi Bruno,
The file shouldn’t be over the limit of a DigitalOcean Spaces storage.
However, when you register with Coconut, you are automatically subscribed to their free plan, but this plan is better for small projects or testing purposes since it allows you to encode only videos up to 5 minutes long.
Please check your plan and try to encode a shorter video to make sure that the issue is not caused by anything else.

To set the Default Video Size you have to fill-in both width and height values (in pixels).
Could you specify what exactly you’d like to achieve with your size settings, please? We may find a solution for that.
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Make video undownloadableHi Bruno,
It looks as if Coconut, DigitalOcean Spaces and BunnyCDN are all set up, but the source video file is missing, so there is nothing to choose from to start the Coconut job.
Did you upload any video file to the DigitalOcean Spaces source Space?
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: FV Player subtitles does not workHi Kris,
The FV Player Pro license will handle your requirement, and more. A Dev-Staging site is included in the license. With the Pro license, you can enjoy all the advanced features, receive updates and technical support during the first year of usage (always free of charge are bugfixes and all help with account, purchase, or license issues).
This is a one-time payment, and the product is yours forever. If you renew the FV Player license before it has expired, you only pay 1/3 of the license price, not many paid WordPress plugins offer such deal. If you choose to not renew FV Player it keeps working, you can keep using your custom logo and the Pro features, but we cannot guarantee everything will keep working in the new browsers (like that time when Chrome stopped video autoplay for first-time visitors) or operating system versions (mainly iOS, Android).
We have a 30 days refund policy, however we always try to solve and fix any issues first. If we are unable to help you make your videos play on your website properly, we are happy to offer you a full refund.
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: FV Player subtitles does not workHi Kris,
The full comparison of Free and Pro features is available here: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/player-pro-features. The subtitles in the free version work with self-hosted videos. For advanced YouTube or Vimeo hosting, however, the Pro version is required (see the bottom section).
We understand your concern and provide Demos for testing purposes, in which you can see all the features and functionalities of FV Player: https://foliovision.com/player.
See, for example the YouTube Embedding and YouTube Subtitles demos.

4 years ago in reply to: Support for mkv filesHi Frank,
Thank you for reaching out to us with your question.
MKV files are multimedia container formats and not simple audio or video compression formats, so they will not play in HTML5 web players. MKV actually might play, but only in the Chrome browser, so we generally don’t recommend using this format. See our Video Encoding for HTML5 guide: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/encoding.

Chiara4 years ago in reply to: FV Player subtitles does not workHi Kris,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
The steps you’ve made to create the subtitles are correct. However, a FV Player Pro license is needed for a full-featured embedding of the YouTube videos. That will let you use all the player features with it.
Additionally, you can then check this guide to make sure that the subtitles work properly: https://foliovision.com/player/advanced/subtitles.

Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Prices not showing in Pay Per ViewHi Chris,
I sincerely apologize for advising you on purchasing our Pro license to make the features of PayPerView work before. After a team discussion, we found out that the mistake was related to a discrepancy in our documentation, and we fixed it.
With the FV Player Pro license, you have full access to other valuable features, such as using your custom branding or advanced protection of your video content (DRM Text, Encrypted HLS Stream), to name a few advantages. You can see the full list here: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/player-pro-features.
In case you decide to continue using your Pro license, we’ll be happy to add an extra year of usage, updates, and support for free. However, if you no longer want to keep the Pro license, we will, of course, issue a full refund to your account.I’m glad to know that the CSS fixes worked for you. The rental feature is present by default in the settings, but there might be a solution to hide it somehow within your player. I’ll forward your suggestion to Martin to see what the options are.
Thanks,

4 years ago in reply to: Prices not showing in Pay Per ViewHi Chris,
Thank you for providing the link and the details about your account. At first, it seemed to me you are already a Pro user and thought that your issue is related to a Pro license.
Correct, if you’d like to enjoy the advanced features of the Pay Per View plugin the upgrade to our Pro version is required.

Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Multiple audio track with Vimeo ?Hi Cirdec,
We found out that the multiple audio tracks aren’t supported on YouTube or Vimeo, unfortunately. It seems that Vimeo will encode only the primary or default audio stream.
We will do the testing of using the FV Player Coconut with an MP4 file with multiple audio tracks that should result in creating an HLS stream with multiple audio tracks in the next days, and we’ll let you know the results.
Thanks,
ChiaraHi Gus,
Thank you for reporting the issue.
We tested the Chromecast with your stream in the latest version of Chrome – 87.0.4280.141 on Android 10, and we were able to reproduce the issue. The subtitles were synchronized with the video which played on the source device, but they didn’t show up on the screen to which the video was casted.
Could you please let us know on which device and browser you have experienced the issue? I’ll forward it to our development team to see what we can do about it.
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Is my FV Player Pro license good for life?Hi Jordan,
Correct, the FV Player Pro license for a single domain (with a Dev-Staging site license included) costs $75 and you can enjoy all the advanced features, receive updates and technical support during the first year of usage. This is a one-time payment, and the product is yours forever.
If you choose to not renew FV Player it keeps working, you can keep using your custom logo and the Pro features, but we cannot guarantee everything will keep working in the new browsers (like that time when Chrome stopped video autoplay for first-time visitors) or operating system versions (mainly iOS, Android).
If you renew the FV Player license before it has expired, you only pay 1/3 of the license price, not many paid WordPress plugins offer such deal.

Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Multiple audio track with Vimeo ?Hi Cedric,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
Indeed, the best solution would be to use the HLS stream. With it, you can serve a single video with multiple audio tracks, such as in this demo: https://foliovision.com/player/demos/multiple-audio-tracks.
In order to set up the encrypted HLS stream, you’ll need to encode the HLS videos with multiple audio tracks in it. It is possible with the AWS MediaConvert: https://foliovision.com/player/securing-your-video/hls-stream by adding audio tracks within the Advanced Audio Coding stream settings.
Please be aware of the fact that this feature will work only with browsers that does support HLS playback with HLS.js library. For example with iOS on Safari the audio track will be chosen automatically, based on the phone’s operating system localization settings.
Thanks,

4 years ago in reply to: Prices not showing in Pay Per ViewHi Chris,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
The option of showing the price below the video at all times should be available as shown in the end of this documentation: https://foliovision.com/player/pay-per-view/how-to. Did you follow the guide and set the price button in shortcode editor and the text of the button in the Settings > FV Player PPV > Settings tab accordingly?
If yes and the issue still occurs, could you please send us a link to the site where we can see the issue and also your wp-admin -> Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Tools -> System Info?
Thanks,

ChiaraHi Khem,
Thank you for providing us the link. I was able to reproduce the issue, so I’ll forward this to our development team to take a closer look.
Could you copy and paste here the full output of System Info, please?
Thanks,
ChiaraHi Khem,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Is your issue related to using the Pay Per View Plugin? Could you please post a link to your website where we can see the issue?
Please, send us the output of wp-admin -> Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Tools -> System Info as well.

4 years ago in reply to: Wplms theme CompatibilityHi Ahmed,
Thank you for reaching out to us and sending your system info.
Do you mean that the videos keep buffering and don’t start to play? Could you please also send us a report via the built-in Admin Video checker?
We’ve previously noticed some compatibility issues with the WPLMS theme, so I’ll forward it to our programmer to take a closer look at your report.
Thanks,
ChiaraHi Michael,
Thank you for reporting and specifying the extension causing the bug. I’m glad you were able to solve the issue. We’ve received a notice about the Disable HTML5 Autoplay extension causing troubles with playback of self-hosted videos in the past.
However, the FV Player 7 should handle this properly and play the video once clicked. We’ll check what may be causing the issue, and what we could do to prevent this from happening.
We wish you great holidays!
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: How to find reporting in new Google AnalyticsHi Joe,
Thanks for reaching out to us, and for your suggestion.
Since the new Google Analytics 4 events have no notion of Category, Action, and Label, unlike Universal Analytics reports, Google Analytics 4 reports do not display Event Category, Action, and Label data related to a particular video. See the detailed comparison between Universal Analytics and Google Analytics 4 data models: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/9964640?hl=en.
Since users started migrating from Universal Analytics to the new Google Analytics 4 system, we’ll take a closer look into this in the next days to see what the options of displaying the event details for a particular video are and implement the updated information into our documentation.
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Multiple job for FV CoconutHi Richard,
Thank you for reaching out to us with your question.
With FV Player Coconut, you can add more new jobs successively, but unfortunately, it is not possible to add multiple jobs/encode more files at the same time yet.
However, we understand your concern and it is a good suggestion to try make this work in the future.
Thanks,
ChiaraHi Michael,
Thanks for reaching out to us and reporting about the issue.
I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue using Windows 10 and Chrome browser.
So, did the customer eventually manage to play your videos when using Chrome’s incognito mode? If yes, then it looks as if the issue was caused by some extension/-s used by the customer, which could interfere with your videos playing properly. The incognito mode helps to prevent the enablement of those extensions.Could you please ask the customer to do basic troubleshooting steps (update to the latest version, clear cache and cookie, restart the Chrome app) and to disable the extensions one by one to see if it makes any difference when using Chrome in a public mode?
Let us know, it has helped your customer with the issue.
Thanks,

Thank you for reaching out to us!
Could you please send us a report via our built-in admin video checker: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/how-to-use-video-checker? The way the video checker works is that you need to log in as admin, open the video checker and send us a report about the video.

Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Download video files from PlayerHi Nikolaos,
I’m sorry to hear that. Could you please specify which step from the guide isn’t working for you?
Please note, that the downloading shortcode [fvplayer_download id="1" caption="Click this link to download the video"] generates only a link to a certain video/id from the FV Player database that will instantly make a download call after clicking. You still need to upload the video itself through the shortcode editor, or use the classic shortcode from your database – [fvplayer id="1"] in order to display the video on the page, as well.
I forwarded the issue of the download link template not appearing in the settings to our programmer’s team, and we’ll get back to you soon.
Thanks,
Chiara4 years ago in reply to: Download video files from PlayerHi Nikolaos,
Thank you for reaching out to us with your question!
Yes, it is possible with the Video Downloading feature, see the details of using this feature here: https://foliovision.com/player/advanced/video-downloading-with-simple-history
