#fvp_etc. link makes page scroll

[Solved]

  • Robert 4 years, 5 months ago

    Hey everyone,

I’m almost done building my new website with Foliovision player as a centerpiece. Really like it!

The only problem I seem to have is with “skipping” to certain parts of the video by clicking a link.

I have this nice layout where the video is “sticky” and always remains in place and then below it there are links to different parts of the video.

The user can then scroll to place the diagrams he/she needs to read next to the video.

Problem is, when you click the timelinks to skip to a certain part, the page starts scrolling, messing up what the student probably has perfectly lined up.

Here’s a video of the problem:
    https://vimeo.com/488409089

How can I prevent the page from scrolling when using those timelinks?

    Thanks,
    Robert

Ah excuse me, Vimeo doesn’t want to show the video. I uploaded it to youtube so you guys can see: https://youtu.be/BxTCJSVKWf4

I found a solution by calling Flowplayer javascript myself inside the link.

:-) It works! Sorry to bother you.
