Vimeo – dash: video not properly encoded

I want to show a preview of a video, so I’ve set a start and end time to a Vimeo video in the player, but I get an error “dash: video not properly encoded”.

This only seems to be happening if I set a start/end time to Vimeo videos, not if I show the entire video.

I have checked ‘Disable MPEG-DASH’, which seems to have fixed the problem.

As suggested, ‘Check if you are experiencing issues with Vimeo playback and report to Foliovision support forums.’ I am posting the bug here.

Hello Joanne,

are you getting the same issue on https://foliovision.com/player/demos/custom-start-time -> Vimeo ?

Please let us know what operating system and web browser you are using. Or does the issue occur on mobile?

What start time are you using and how long is the video? Could you please link to the page where we can see the issue?
