Hi Chris,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
The option of showing the price below the video at all times should be available as shown in the end of this documentation: https://foliovision.com/player/pay-per-view/how-to. Did you follow the guide and set the price button in shortcode editor and the text of the button in the Settings > FV Player PPV > Settings tab accordingly?
If yes and the issue still occurs, could you please send us a link to the site where we can see the issue and also your wp-admin -> Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Tools -> System Info?
Thanks,
ChiaraHi Chris,
Thank you for providing the link and the details about your account. At first, it seemed to me you are already a Pro user and thought that your issue is related to a Pro license.
Correct, if you’d like to enjoy the advanced features of the Pay Per View plugin the upgrade to our Pro version is required.
Thanks,
ChiaraHello Chris,
normally the buttons should show below the video, like you can see on: https://foliovision.com/player/pay-per-view/how-to#how-pay-per-view-looks
However on your website they seems to be invisible. The reason is that your theme is doing something to position the player differently using the .video-player-wrap .flowplayer CSS rule.
Here’s some quick CSS to at least reveal these PPV buttons and move them below the player. It’s not ideal, but it gives you something to start with:
.fv-player-ppv-wrap { position: absolute; bottom: -11em; z-index: 10; width: 100%; }
Pleae read the introduction to our CSS guide if you are not sure how to use it: https://foliovision.com/player/advanced/css-tips-and-fixes
I also added “Using transparent background” for popups: https://foliovision.com/player/advanced/css-tips-and-fixes#popup-transparent
Thanks,
MartinIt is still not working. I feel like I paid an extra $75 for nothing. The person before told me to purchase pro and that it would fix everything. It’s fixed nothing. Thank you for the tips and fixes, but the pricing still doesn’t show up. Even on pause it covers the film with a box. Can someone else login and look at it? I can give you the admin.
Hi Chris,
I sincerely apologize for advising you on purchasing our Pro license to make the features of PayPerView work before. After a team discussion, we found out that the mistake was related to a discrepancy in our documentation, and we fixed it.
With the FV Player Pro license, you have full access to other valuable features, such as using your custom branding or advanced protection of your video content (DRM Text, Encrypted HLS Stream), to name a few advantages. You can see the full list here: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/player-pro-features.
In case you decide to continue using your Pro license, we’ll be happy to add an extra year of usage, updates, and support for free. However, if you no longer want to keep the Pro license, we will, of course, issue a full refund to your account.I’m glad to know that the CSS fixes worked for you. The rental feature is present by default in the settings, but there might be a solution to hide it somehow within your player. I’ll forward your suggestion to Martin to see what the options are.
Thanks,

Hello Chris,
please reinstall FV Player Pay Per View from a fresh ZIP file which you get on https://foliovision.com/my-licenses
Then you will be able to remove the Rent price in wp-admin -> Downloads -> Add Downloads -> (look up your PPV item and open for editing) -> Download Prices. There will be a price for which “Choose the price type” will be set to “Rental price”, so that one can be removed.
Thanks,
Martin
