Thank you for specifying your issue.

FV Simpler SEO plugin allows you to set the og:image tag manually, but only if you want to use one image for all posts. In that case, you go to FV Simpler SEO –> Settings –> Advanced options –> add into the Additional Post Headers field.

Did you set any particular image in those settings which might appear for your posts when sharing them instead of the image you want? If yes, make sure you remove this setting and click on ‘Update options’.

Now, if you’d like to set only an individual image for a page – please, set the ‘Featured image’ of the article/page to the image from your WordPress library you want to use for it. Clear your page cache. Then go to https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ enter the page URL (https://www.farmaciaalcorso.com/it/promozioni/swisse-enterobalance-capsule/) there, and then click the “Scrape again” button. Facebook should get the new image from your page.

Using the FV Simpler SEO plugin, the featured image and 2 widest images from your content will be used as the Open Graph image. Facebook picks only the biggest images from Open Graph.

I was able to play the VAST tag in the Google video suite VAST inspector on Safari, Firefox and Chrome desktop browsers, but unfortunately not in the FV Player VAST Tester.

Is your ad unlocked also for our domain foliovision.com? And, did you make sure that all of the URL tags are in the correct form to work according to our VAST URL tags guide: https://foliovision.com/player/vast/url-tags?

If yes, and you’ll still experience the same issue, I’ll forward this to our programmer to take a closer look on what might be happening.

Is your question regarding single videos or a video playlist?

To display the title in the thumbnail of a single video, you can either upload a Splash image with a text (title) to the video or just use the Splash text: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/adding-title-and-splash-text#splash-text. You can activate it by checking the box in Settings –> FV Player –> Setup tab –> Post Interface Options and then edit it directly in the FV Player shortcode editor.

If you mean playlist, there are several playlist styles showing the video titles in thumbnail that you can choose from: https://foliovision.com/player/demos/playlist-styles.

Based on the version of FV Player you’re using, you can choose which method is more convenient for you:

Upload the playlist in a form of old shortcode – this will work, but the player won’t show up in the database:

Or, simply go to shortcode editor –> Options –> Playlist Style –> change to Prev/Next – this will hide other playlist items and add Prev/Next buttons to the video. See the demo here: https://foliovision.com/player/demos/playlist-styles#prev-next

Hi Colin,

We’ve tested the given video and the error comes up for any device (not only MacOS). We think it may be a plugin interference since it seems to try to start but then gets blocked, however we’d like to look into it further.

Could you please post a new page to your website with a bare MP4 file using FV Player and see if the Chromecast works there?

A sample MP4 video could be this one: s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/fv-player-unprotected/dominika-960-31_HD.mp4 If that one works, then it’s some problem with the video you’re using or it doesn’t work with the player feature which you’re using. Otherwise it must be some plugin conflict.

Currently, you can set it up by adding a Sprite (.png) to your Timeline Preview in the FV Player shortcode editor under the Subtitles tab.

We are switching from using PNG-based thumbnails with fixed dimensions and intervals to VTT thumbnails, which are much more robust. That will improve the way this feature works in FV Player Coconut: https://foliovision.com/player/securing-your-video/encrypt-videos-directly-wordpress.

We are also thinking about creating a service for video thumbnails.

As the error message says, you’re missing a cURL library in your PHP. If you don’t have it added to your PHP, it doesn’t mean that the playback of your videos will fail, but it can cause some issues when you’re using Vimeo – such as missing automated splash screens.

We recommend adding the cURL library to your PHP, as it is a fundamental part of it. It will also help you to solve your issue with the error message and ensure that not any of the basic information in your videos is missing.

Currently, you can set the interval of showing the DRM text in your video to every 5 or 20 seconds. You can also adjust the intervals for each video individually: foliovision.com/player/securing-your-video/protecting-videos-with-drm-text#setting-interval

There is the concern that if the DRM text was static, somebody could blur out the DRM information from the video easily, therefore it floats around and is timed randomly. This way, it protects your video content from screen capturing and acts as watermarking, even though it’s barely visible.
