FV Player Pro embed livestream iframe html issue

[Solved]

Foliovision › Forums › FV Player › Bug Reports › FV Player Pro embed livestream iframe html issue

  • Justin 4 years, 2 months ago

    Hello Everyone,

The following iframe is for our livestream player. We wish to allow users to embed this player wherever they wish but the player does not display when embedded.

Yes the embed checkboxes are un/checked in the relevant FV Player Pro integration and site wide settings so we’re not sure what is causing this issue.

    How do we resolve this?

    <iframe src=”https://partycaribbean.com/live/fvp-1/#fvp_1&#8243; allowfullscreen width=”618.65625″ height=”349.984375″ frameborder=”0″ style=”max-width:100%”></iframe>

    Thanks,

    Justin

    Hi Justin,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

When I’m trying to open the video link, all I get is a blank screen, and the same applies to the embedding. Did you set any privacy restriction for the stream?

Alternatively, could you please check if the livestream video shows any signs of issues via our built-in Admin Video Checker: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/how-to-use-video-checker? The way the video checker works is that you need to log in as admin, go open the video and send us a report about it if it shows any errors.

    Thanks,
    Chiara

    Hello Justin,

if https://partycaribbean.com/live/fvp-1/ only shows a blank screen, then the issue shold be related to the template you are using.

Normally we ask our users to try switching to some default WordPress theme for a test and see if that helps. In some cases the theme preview is enough too.

But your case is different – I had a look and I can see that if you try to embed the player which is using lightbox, it won’t work. So we are going to improve this. I’m not sure if the fix will be ready this week as it might get tricky, but I will try to keep you updated about the progress.

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hello Chiara & Martin,

What we’ve noticed with FV Player is while our AWS Channel is idle, the player displays a blank screen stating “there’s no live stream” but the embed/share functions do not display. They only display when we push content through the AWS Channel when it has been started.

I’ll run another test feed, look into the video checker and report anything if applicable.

We’ll remove the lightbox function until it’s resolved.

What was also disappointing is we can not use the player in our mobile app via API or embed so we have to use an alternative media player :( the embed code keeps breaking.

Once we resolve this livestream issue, our next stage is VOD services which we may require further support.

We use the All-In-One Security plugin https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-security-and-firewall-plugin and ensured that the player is not restricted. Our theme is by Hogash https://hogash.com/product/kallyas-wordpress-theme/

    Many Thanks,

    Justin.

    Hello Justin,

if you have a moment, could you please reinstall FV Player from this link: https://github.com/foliovision/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/archive/master.zip ?

To do that you will have to first deactivate and delete the current FV Player plugin you are using. WordPress will warn you that you might loose settings and data, but it’s not the case with our plugin, no settings now videos will be lost. Or you can just replace the plugin files via FTP.

Then the embed code for a video which normally shows in lightbox will work.

Could the iframe code work with your mobile app?

Would you like to show the share button even if the video is still loading? We only make these available when it plays.

    Thanks,
    Martin
