We are planning to use the new buddyboss mobile app. Unfortunately, it does not support FV Player and will require us to switch to the native WordPress player or a plain embedded Vimeo video to get the offline sync functionality.
I love FV Player and don’t want to switch. Has the team at foliovision looked into options to be a supported wordpress block for the buddyboss app?

does BuddyBoss provide any documentation about how to create a custom block?
Does this mean they have to code each supported block into the mobile app code?
What FV Player features are you using? Are you using any of the features to prevent the video downloads?

I think that somehow the FV Player block needs to simply present the path to the video file to the app so it can use its native player/downloader to download and render the video. 🤷♂️

what video types are you using? If it’s a HLS or MPEG-DASH stream then the mobile app won’t likely be able to download it. It could work with MP4 or Vimeo.
That’s the most important question here.
I checked the documentation link which you provided and the Example plugin https://www.buddyboss.com/resources/dev-docs/app-development/extending-the-buddyboss-app-plugin/registering-custom-app-gutenberg-blocks/#example-plugin looks good.
But it doesn’t show anything about how the video URL should be provided for the app. That would be the next thing to figure out.

Anyone figured this out yet? :) As I’m in the same boat. The mobile app does not like FV player but don’t want to move to native vimeo components.

it seems that Buddyboss supports Gutenberg modules in the mobile app – what does happen if you use the FV Player Gutenberg module? Do you see any output? Perhaps we only need to add the scripts and it would actually do something.
