Regarding unmuted autoplay, some browsers are now using muted autoplay too. However, if you go to Settings -> FV Player -> Sitewide FV Player Defaults -> Autoplay and set it to “Yes”, the videos will autoplay with sound, if possible. If not, the video starts to play again, this time muted. You can also set this for individual videos via the shortcode editor.
Please, keep in mind, that Scroll Autoplay is an FV Player Pro feature.
As for autoplay on mouse hover, it sounds interesting. I will forward this to our development team, to see what they have to say.

This issue is known to arise when user’s server blocks our server from connecting. For video checker to work, it needs to be able to contact our server.
Please, try adding an exception for https://video-checker.foliovision.com/ to your CORS headers config.

Vimeo plus does provide some security on its own, but it often is not enough for some downloading software.
We do offer a paid add-on called the Vimeo Security-add on. It adds additional video protection – then the video downloaders no longer recognize the video as playing from Vimeo and fail.

yes, the playlist titles can be disabled.
Go to Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Post Interface Options and make sure you have “Playlist Item Titles” enabled. Then click “Save All Changes”.
Now, in your shortcode editor, you will have a “Title” field. To delete a title, make sure the Title field for that particular video is empty.

There is no limit on the number of items you can add to a playlist, so the issue is somewhere else.
do you get that error when trying to insert a new player on wp-admin -> FV Player screen?
Please, try installing this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/error-log-monitor/ Then try to add the playlist again and see, if any error appears in it. Alternatively, you can also check PHP error logs directly on the server.

Regarding the color and position of your in-video purchase button, if you’re using EDD, there are some pre-defined options in Downloads -> Settings -> Styles as well as to inherit color scheme from your theme. Let me know, if these options are enough for you or if we should provide you with a CSS fix.

In order to get FV Player Pro updates, you have to have an active licence.
I see that you have renewed your licence a couple of hours after posting this reply.
Your previous licence expired in January 2020, so having renewed your licence on February 1st 2021, you were without a licence, thus without updates, for a little over a year.
Let me know, if you do get updates since you have renewed your licence.

sadly, I cannot find FV Player installed on your page. All the videos in the link you posted are simple YouTube embeds not playing through the FV Player plugin. Therefore, I cannot help you at this time.
If you have FV Player installed, please upload a video playing through the FV Player plugin and send us the link to that video.
Alternatively, you can save time re-uploading all the videos by simply going to Settings -> FV Player -> Integration/Compatibility and check the “Handle WordPress audio/video” box. Then click “Save All Changes”.
Once you do that, please inform me and should the issue persist while playing through FV Player plugin as well, I will take a look at it.

The PPV plugin also installs the PayPal checkout add-on for WooCommerce. This allows users to just click the “PayPal” button and go straight to their PayPal account to pay, instead of proceeding through the “Go to checkout” button and filling out their details. The order then gets sent to the email connected to their PayPal account.
For other forms of payment, have you tried enabling WooCommerce -> Settings -> Accounts and Privacy -> “Allow customers to log into an existing account during checkout” ?

sadly, your licence has expired. This means that while you can still use the older version of FV Player Pro you enabled on your domains, you cannot do any further changes to your licence or get updates.
You will have to renew your licence to perform these changes. We also offer 2 and 3 domain licences, if that is more appropriate for your current use.

Regarding the default splash image at the end of the video: sadly, as of now, you can set splash screen as an end of the video action only for individual videos by setting it manually in shortcode. That being said, making the option to set the default splash screen as a default end of video action, is definitely something to consider implementing. Thanks for the idea.

I deeply apologize for the misleading information. The system around staging domain licencing can get quite confusing.
Since the staging domain is a sub-domain of your main domain, it is actually licenced under the same key as the main domain. Replace the key with the main domain key starting with $3, not with $6.

I have tested your issues and can agree that I have ran into some of these issues.
The video size defaults to the set default size in FV Player settings and not to the native size of the video. Perhaps we could fix this.
You can change the default video size, which can be changed in Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Sitewide FV Player Defaults -> Default video size
This setting also overrides the ratio of the videos embedded by handling WordPress audio/video. However, it means that all your videos would play in 4:3, so you would have to manually set the size in shortcode for 16:9 videos, if you have any.
As for the stretched video in fullscreen mode bug, I will make sure to forward this to the development team and see what we can do about it.

However, it is true, that this protection can be easily bypassed by video downloader extensions and apps. It is true that the splash image at the end of the video is not clickable to relaunch the video again. However, making it clickable, just like the black screen at the end videos with no end-of-video action is, is something worth considering. Thanks for giving us this feedback.
As for the control bar on the first video disappearing after the second video starts, that should not happen. I tried reproducing this issue, however, everything worked fine for me.
It could be a plugin or a theme conflict causing this behavior. What theme do you use? You can also try disabling other plugins one by one, to find whether the issue disappears. Alternatively, could you, please, provide us with a link to your site containing this issue, so that we could test it hands-on?

Encrypted HLS streams with multiple audio tracks need to obtain the decryption keys twice. It seems, this is the problem. There was a fix for it rather recently. Please, make sure you are using the beta version, not the release version of FV Player Pro.

If you are afraid of not using all your licences before they expire, you could just upgrade them as you go. We offer 2 domain and 3 domain options as well.
The price you pay for upgrading is always the difference between the price of the two products. For example, if you own a 1 domain licence, you pay only the difference which is $50 (instead of the full $120 price) to upgrade to 2 domain licence and so on. This way, you can upgrade your licence to 2, 3, and 5 domain licences whenever you need the upgrade, without paying more than for buying the 5 domain upgrade right away.

We do, however, use some cookies. These are used only for remembering the preferred video quality (if a user manually chooses SD quality instead of HD, videos viewed in future will also start playing in SD quality by default), remembering the video position (if this feature is enabled) and remembering video playback speed (if the speed buttons feature is enabled).

The way to find this information is just like with most other plugins on your WordPress site. In your WordPress admin menu, go to Plugins -> Installed Plugins and search for FV Player Pro (or any other FV Plugin you have installed).
If there is a new version available, then underneath the information about your current version of plugin, you will see the message: “there is a new version of FV Player Pro available” with clickable links to either view the version or update it now.

In the screenshot everything looks the way it is supposed to, and you just need to click “Back to playlist” and once you are in the playlist view, then click “update” to save all the playlist items and their settings.

You are using a self-hosted MP4 file for the video. We have experienced this issue with other iOS devices. It seems that starting with iOS 13, some MP4 files stopped playing. This is an iOS bug.
To solve it, it would be best, if you tried looking into encoding your videos to ensure all devices play it effortlessly.

the way the licences work, is that the user must renew their licence by choice.
So no, you do not get automatically charged for the next licence. The licence just expires and the customer has to renew it manually.

We are considering two ways of making this work. Either we can just add another button, or we can do what YouTube does – when you double-tap to the left part of the video it goes 10 seconds back and when you double-tap on the right part of video it goes 10 seconds forward.

That way it loads the URL only when the playback starts and if it fails later, it loads it again, resetting the time out duration.

Do you want the splash screen and text to be taken from the YouTube video, or do you want to display the splash screen and title you set in FV Player and have them override the YouTube elements?

Yes, you can make an ad default, so that it plays in every video. In order to do this, go to Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Video Ads tab. There you will see the options to set Default pre-roll and post-roll ads.
Insert your ad’s name, video link (WordPress hosted videos work too) and optionally insert click URL too, if you want to. Then just select the correct ad in the drop-down menu in the Default pre-roll/post-roll field.If it appears not to be working, then please make sure that all your videos have selected “Use site default” in the Pre-roll ad/Post-roll ad fields of the Action tab of the shortcode editor.

this is handled by the Scroll autoplay feature. With this feature, as the user scrolls down, any video in their current viewpoint (what portion of the website is currently shown on their screen) starts to autoplay. However, please keep in mind, that this feature is available only in FV Player PRO, since it appears that you are using the free version of our plugin.

we have tested this issue on your website and can confirm, that the video will not cast for us either. The video itself seems to be working correctly. Also, since you say that you have tried various formats from various sources, the problem is most likely with your site.
Firstly, please, try to check if FV Player is not in conflict with other plugins, as it is possible that a different plugin is interfering with correct playback.

we have tested out the Tooltipy plugin on the same device and browser version, but we have not experienced this issue. While the other issue about being unable to unmute video is definitely caused by the Tooltipy plugin, there might be a different cause for this one. Also, we have tested the plugin with default settings, therefore a Tooltipy feature which is not on by default could cause this.
Please, let us know whether this issue goes away when you deactivate the Tooltipy plugin or change the settings to default. Also, let us know whether changing your theme, which might be set to pause background video, helps.

we have tested out the Tooltipy plugin and can confirm, that this issue is caused by this particular plugin. You can try asking the developers over at Tooltipy, whether their plugins contains any script that could interfere with the video playback.

Unfortunately, there is currently no way to change the duration nor the color of DRM texts. We have indeed decided to design our DRM text feature on the “catch the thief later” philosophy, as you put it, instead of repelling the viewers from downloading in the first place. However, your issue with the current way the DRM texts are set up in our player is reasonable, thank you for bringing this to our attention. I will forward this to my team in order to see, whether we can come up with a suitable solution for such issues.

I believe you are asking about the possibility of unmuted autoplay playback. Most browsers and devices only allow muted autoplay. The user has to unmute it manually in order for sound to play on an autoplay video. However, once the user does this on your site, their preference will be remembered and autoplay will play with sound from then on.

Try changing your font size via your theme’s CSS stylesheet:

since you are running an networked site and have owned several different licence keys in the past, we took a look at your licences and it appears, that you have inserted the wrong licence key into your WordPress page.
Try taking a look at your product licence number on this page: https://foliovision.com/my-licenses
Then check the licence number in your WordPress. You access it by going to the Settings -> FV Player. There you will see your licence number in a field near the top of the page.
Do these two numbers match? If not, then enter the correct licence number displayed on the my-licences page into the field in your settings.

Yes, the pro version is capable of overtaking native WordPress player. Once you have the FV Player Pro installed, all you will need to do is to go to Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Setup tab -> Integrations/Compatibility and then make sure, that you have the “Handle WordPress audio/video” feature enabled. That will make sure, that all the pre-existing videos and YouTube links will be played in FV Player from then on.

That is, try checking if you have other video plugins installed which might interfere with the correct function of FV Player.
Also, try switching to a different theme to see if the issue might be connected to the theme you are using.

Try playing the title video on our homepage and then go to a different tab to see if you run into this issue on different sites as well. Also try using Guest mode to rule out possible interference with your browser extensions.
What version of macOS do you use? We tested this issue on macOS 10.14.6 + Chrome 85.0.4183.83.
Alternatively, if you experience this issue on our site as well, try updating your version of Chrome to see if that helps.

This issue is present mainly in Iphone devices. On Android devices, the screen rotates to landscape mode automatically.
