New to the player and in honesty still in demo mode but ready to purchase.
I have set up a player on a page with a Cloudfront HLS URL. My plan is to live stream to the page next week but client is sharing the link so I have to have the landing page ready.
Basically, I want any visitors to the page beforehand to see the poster frame only. Is there anyway to remove the “We are sorry, currently no live stream available” and crossed out circle so they just see the static poster frame?
When I go live I would want the page to then Autoplay and start the stream.

as of now, it is not possible to do that. However, this is not the first time we got this request and I think it is worth re-opening this discussion with my team.
However, there are some challenges connected to this, so no promises. I will forward this to the development team and we’ll get back to you.

I see we should improve that live stream loading to not look like there is an error. It seems to me we need to provide a way for you to set the date when the stream is going live. That way there could be an useful count-down until the stream really starts. We built that for the Vimeo live videos already.
Tony, please let us know how you would like to tweak the message, perhaps it could be the new default. Currently it only has the translation hooks on it.

Hi – Wondering if there is a solution to this as well. I want to remove the “We are sorry…” and also the crossed-out circle. Otherwise, I love the features of this player! Thank you.
Sorry for the second post… If they can’t be removed… then I’d be so much happier if it said “This event hasn’t started yet.” (in smaller text). And maybe the crossed-out circle just smaller as well. Thanks in advance.

As Martin pointed out, there are translation hooks on the message. You could exchange the message for one of your own.
We do not have a general option to remove the error itself. However, we are thinking about changing the message and visual elements that come with it. Perhaps even make it easily editable for users.
Could you please give us more feedback on why the current message and the general visual is unsatisfactory, and how could we make it better in the future?
