    The audio/video stop playing in FV Player, if I go to another tab in Chrome on a Mac. I don’t see the issue on the Mac in Firefox or Safari. On the Windows, using Firefox or Chrome, I do not see the issue.

    On the Mac when using Chrome, if you go to another tab in Chrome, the video stops playing after a few seconds. On the same Mac, in Firefox and Safari, it works fine. Same with my Windows Chrome and Firefox.

    Mac Chrome version is: Version 84.0.4147.135 (Official Build) (64-bit)

    Hello David,

    Thanks for reaching out to us!

    Try playing the title video on our homepage and then go to a different tab to see if you run into this issue on different sites as well. Also try using Guest mode to rule out possible interference with your browser extensions.

    What version of macOS do you use? We tested this issue on macOS 10.14.6 + Chrome 85.0.4183.83.

    Alternatively, if you experience this issue on our site as well, try updating your version of Chrome to see if that helps.

    It does not do it on your website, i’m only seeing it on ours. Why?

    Hi David,

    it is possible the issue is caused either by code of other plugins on your site or the theme you are using.

    Please, check if you have any other video plugins installed.
    Also, check if the issue goes away when you use a different theme, as the theme might be set to pause background video.

    I was able to track this down to the “Tooltipy” plugin that my designer had added. Not sure what the problem is with it.

    Same problem for this and the unable to unmute problem.

    Hello David,

    we have tested out the Tooltipy plugin on the same device and browser version, but we have not experienced this issue. While the other issue about being unable to unmute video is definitely caused by the Tooltipy plugin, there might be a different cause for this one. Also, we have tested the plugin with default settings, therefore a Tooltipy feature which is not on by default could cause this.

    Please, let us know whether this issue goes away when you deactivate the Tooltipy plugin or change the settings to default. Also, let us know whether changing your theme, which might be set to pause background video, helps.
