Please make sure that in the settings you check option remove logo. (FV Player settings > hosting > Yotube Pro > remove logo.
There might be some occasional YouTube branding visible, but that’s a requirement of the YouTube API.

I tested three random videos with FV Player and mute worked. Could you send us a link to the video and device/ OS you’re using so we can fix it in case there is a bug? Thanks. We also have an option to set up your custom volume at the start of the video – from mute to loud.

You can find it in FV Player settings > Setup > Sitewide FV Player Defaults > Default volume

As we mentioned we might get older skin working in FV Player 7. But without buttons – subtitles, video speed, quality switching. There were actual structural changes to these in Flowplayer 7 and these wouldn’t show up when using Flowplayer 6 skin. Also another issue would be that with every new update there might be a problem. We will probably add more options for skins in version. And of course you can adjust things on your won too using CSS. You can have a look at our CSS tips and fixes.

Any CSS tweaks should be added to your theme’s stylesheet . If they were added to FV Player’s stylesheet, they would be overridden by every update.

I understand how frustrating slow video can be. The speed of the video loading doesn’t really depend on the video player plugin. That part is handled by the HTML5 video engine in the web browser.

The whole page seems to be loading in a slower fashion. Was there any change in hosting maybe?

You can downgrade to previous version (in your account you will find option to download previous version) if you would like to test yourself. No settings will be lost.

We have a feature like that ready for release in next days. The database should have certain form it cannot be just any custom database table. But if you have PHP skills you will have no issues. We will also release documentation this week about FV Player Object model which was created for the FV Player database. Using that it’s easier to build FV Player instances from custom data structures, more robust than having to build a shortcode text.

Our player does not influence or restricts in any way videos based on geographic location that could be done through hosting. We also had some issues with Cloudfront in Bratislava (Slovakia) returning very low speeds. After contacting them issue got resolved. You could contact AWS customer support. Make sure you tell them exact location. You can include results from their diagnostic tool: http://s3.amazonaws.com/aws-cloudfront-testing/JsCustomerTesting.html. You can also test speeds you are getting from Cloudfront.

Yes expiring links do not offer 100% protection. It is a barrier from easy download. As online video gets perfected also download tools and piracy gets more advanced. We recommend encrypted streams that can’t be downloaded with automated tools.

As you see the video above does not play. Amazon S3 works on the principle of expiring links. You can download the video but after certain preset time limit the link expires and you cant play it anymore.

Have a look at our guide which option suits you the best.

As probably best protection our player currently offers is an encrypted

HLS stream delivered via Amazon CloudFront. A video is very hard to download and even if someone manages to do that, it will require the decryption key even when viewed offline.

If you are worried about screen recording of your videos you can protect your videos with DRM text. This way you can see if someone is using your video.

Protecting video online is non-stop battle. We are now working on even more advanced solution.

1. Top events. It means that you had 14,569 views (11,884 unique views.) Out of that 3,805 viewers just started the video (26.12%). On the timelime in the picture you can point to gives days and see views in a chosen day.

2. Video/ seconds played – viewer has watched an average of 2,387 seconds of content within that time period. You are right here. Unique events means all new visitors playing your video for the first time. As for example compared to a viewer watching one video multiple times (that would be counted in total events). Event value is in this case is total amount of seconds video was watched. Average value – average amount of seconds video was watched.

3. Flowplayer heartbeat is simply player sending a report to Google so that tracking doesn’t timeout and has nothing to do with webcast numbers.

4. Yes it means that number 1 title is the most viewed with 1,996 views and 1,907 unique views.

That the quartile stat is not shown is more likely related to google providing more data on Youtube videos (as they are parent organisation). We’ll have a further look into that one.

I moved this ticket to a new thread as it was not new beta player or Vimeo. The issue might also be that the server doesn’t support HTTP range requests or the moov meta data might be in bad position. You can use Video Checker when you suspect it might be an issue with video encoding, here a guide for it.

Thank you for additional info. I only guessed you had trouble with Vimeo working with version 7 of our player as it is listed under this topic. V7 is now in beta and available for licensed users. Thank you for additional information. It looks like you will need to create new access token. We haven’t encountered this issue yet but Vimeo will automatically delete tokens that have not been used for an extended period of time. If your API calls are months apart you might need to create a new token. Or if your Vimeo Pro, Plus membership expired (only if it was just for a short period). Here is our information on Vimeo setup and access token. Let me know in case there are more issues.

I somehow overlooked your last questions.

The price for the encoding through Amazon Elastic Transcoder for 150min of HD output is $0.034 x 150 = 5.1 USD.

KMS (Key Management System) pricing is more confusing. There is monthly charge for a custom master encryption key of $1 and $0.03 per 10,000 requests.

For example (with S3) you will have 1 000 000 unique API requests of your file (decryption requests) . Then your monthly bill (outside of free tier) will be:

(1 000 000 x 0.03 / 10 000) + 1 = 3 +1 = $4.

A single license of FV Player Pro works for the main domain and all the sub-domains. The license will work for magazine.com/spanishlevelA1, magazine.com/FrenchlevelA1 ….

After purchasing the Pro license, you can either enter the name of the main site (your-site.com) or any sub-site (your-site.com/subsite/ or en.your-site.com) and it will be available for the whole multisite network. If you use WP Multisite with domain mapping, the main site should match the wp-admin address to get the plugin updates. Then the sub-sites get it automatically.
