I’m not sure I understood correctly. Please get back to us if you are looking for something else. We have an option to set up
default splash screen for all the videos that will show up if no custom splash screen is set up for chosen video.

We are planning to come up with a new and better solution for the splash screen fetching second frame of the video (many times first frame is black) automatically as a splash image. With the hosting on Vimeo and Youtube we have already automatic splash images.
