How To Play Flash Movie File

FLV file you can just insert as any other normal file. Please note that it will only work on Flash compatible devices. Although a SWF file may contain some animation, it is not a video file. If you need to insert it, use the standard object and embed tags, or better a library like swfobject for safe fallback for devices with no Flash support (iPad, iPhone…): http://code.google.com/p/swfobject/. Is there any particular reason why you want to use Flash – it will not work on idevices or android devices (since Android 4.1).

As I mentioned before swf is actually not a video file. The file might contain animation, game…Our player does not support it out of the box. WordPress also now does not allow the upload of such a file for security reasons, you need to use FTP.

As Flash gets less common and less safe, Adobe is finally planning to kill off Flash once and for all. Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Safari have all been blocking Flash over the past year. By default SWF file support is disabled in browsers. Thus you may need to enable Flash support manually in your browser. And as I mentioned users with newer Android phones and ipads/iphones will not be able to watch your videos.

The option might be to convert your SWF files to MP4 files which will give you almost unlimited compatibility. There are many even free tools to do that. You can read more about encoding
in our documentation.

Are you looking for a feature like video links? Please have a look at our documentation in here. The feature allows you to create a link to a specific part of a video posted on your page, regardless of where it’s hosted. When someone clicks on the link, he will be redirected to the page where the video is posted and will be moved to the video itself, which immediately starts to play at the designated time.

FV Player has the Popup technology with which you can show popup at the end of the video. We have plans to allow you to place any popup at any time in any video.

FV Player Pro also has the Video Ads in which you can create ads from your mp4 files or even YouTube or Vimeo videos. For each you also specify the URL address they should link to.

When you purchase the FV Player Pro license, you will get the plugin and one year of support and updates. After your license expires, you are free to use the Pro player as long as you want – it is yours forever, the functions will remain available to you, but you will not receive updates with new features and email support will no longer be available to you.

If you would like to continue to receive updates with new features and Pro support, you can renew your license for another year ($28.00 for renewing before expiration and $58.00 for renewing after the expiration of your original license).

Yes, of course all the features of the player are included in the license – also HTML popup and HTML popup form.

Today FV Player supports several content protection mechanisms, including hotlinking protection, DRM text, encryption of video (with Amazon Elastic Transcoder, playback of AES–128 encrypted HLS streams.

currently it’s possible to have a popup at the end of the video and a video ad at the start of video, which can be set to display after a set amount of time.

We have bigger plans – to allow you to show any of the popup at any time in any video. But first we need to finish the plugin update to store player configuration in database rather than in shortcodes. We made good progress on that lately.

Time estimate for full implementation is a bit tricky – but probably 4-7 weeks.

You can try using our overlay ads to get midroll.

Please have a look at how to use Overlay Ads (which are really like pop-up ads for playing videos). Basically you add an action which includes an overlay ad. You can add multiple actions.

You can combine custom video ads (both pre-rolls and post rolls – they are basically your own chosen mp4 videos that you can set up also redirect) and an overlay ad (you can use these Incorporating Google Ads (AdSense) like on YouTube or your own custom ad) and popups at the end of the video. Overlay ad is one per video as it is shown until a viewer closes the ad.
