I have FV Player and FV Player Pro installed. I found that trying to update FV Player by clicking on the update button in WordPress does not work. This is true on a Win 7 and Win 10 machine and I’m using the latest Firefox browser. My site is hosted at WP Engine. Now, FV Player Pro does update properly by just clicking the update button.
However, I accidentally discovered that if I Deactivate FV Player, then the plugin does update by clicking the update button. Then, I simply reactivate the plugin.

Thank you for your report. We will have a look at it. Sorry for the trouble with update. Let us know if you have any further trouble. Just one follow up question – are you trying to update from dashboard > updates or dashboard > plugins > installed plugins and then try to update?

Hello Willian,
there was a bug like that in one of the releases. Other way of getting past it was to click the Update link using the middle mouse button. So we put in a hint for it using the update notice:
“Brand new FV Player version. If you can’t upgrade due to a popup dialog saying ‘Are you sure you want to upgrade?’ please open the update link in a new browser tab.”
