Hello!
We have updated our Homepage SemJam.net with the new FV Video player and WordPress. Since then we are facing very slow video loading speed.

We are offering different qualities of the Video but it doesn’t matter which version you take its allways slow.
I have also installed the Autoptimize Plugin you recommend. But nothing is changing.
Please help us to improve the speed of the video, it is very frustrating since we didn’t have this problem before the updates.

Hi Marin!
I understand how frustrating slow video can be. The speed of the video loading doesn’t really depend on the video player plugin. That part is handled by the HTML5 video engine in the web browser.
The whole page seems to be loading in a slower fashion. Was there any change in hosting maybe?
You can downgrade to previous version (in your account you will find option to download previous version) if you would like to test yourself. No settings will be lost.

I will check the hosting if any changes were applied.
I`ll also try to check the caching options hopefully it will optimize the page speed.
What else could I do to improve the Video loading speed?

what does the Video Checker say about your videos? https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/how-to-use-video-checker
It includes a hint for the video encoding – see if it recommends using lower bitrate.
What’s also important is the video download speed. Foryour website I’m getting 1 -1.5 MB/s which is enough for a HD video, but not great. You should be a using a CDN To ensure fast video delivery across the world, unless majority of your audience is close to where you server is located
