Hi Team,
Im using the free version of your plugin for WordPress, and cannot for the life of me get subtitles to work.
If I point the video to use an srt file for the said video, the subtitles just causes a play icon with a cross through it to appear and the video plays fine in the background.
example of code used –

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Jason!
We checked again on our end and it everything works fine. Your short code looks fine. Have you tried to test with one of the default WordPress themes? Please also make sure that if you link your subtitles from some other website, the website must use the required cross-origin policy.

Many thanks for the reply.
That’s a good idea, i have a default WordPress installation i use to test so ill try that on there and see the outcome.Luckily i’m not using any other site currently so at least i can cross that off.

I tested this on a default installation of WordPress with flowplayer installed and for the same result :(

Hello Jason,
please open the JavaScript console of your browser, here’s how: https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Your_Browser_to_Diagnose_JavaScript_Errors#Step_3:_Diagnosis
Then open the page with your video and play it. See if any error message for the subtitles comes up.
Also, do you see the subtitle button in the player control bar? It’s the “CC” button in the bottom right corner of the player: https://foliovision.com/player/demos/subtitles
