Now for your question. Yes, FV Player does support custom hosted and encrypted HLS streams. However, that’s really technically advanced thing to do, so we recommend AWS services most of the time.

The encrypting for both ElasticTranscoder and MediaConvert is a one-time payment. Only thing that you’ll need to pay afterwards is for a hosting on Amazon S3 cloud.
Also we recommend MediaConvert over ElasticTranscoder for our clients since it supports all the new video standards and it’s slightly easier to use.

Are you sure you got the splash images set for every individual video?
It looks like you’re hosting your videos on S3. That may be the reason why your thumbnails aren’t automatically generated just like with the Yotube/Vimeo videos.
You can check that within your post in your shortcode editor. You can see where to find it in the screenshot.

If you mean showing multiple Google Adsense ads on given time, then sadly FV Player doesn’t support anything like this yet. However, I’ll discuss this with our development team later and I’ll let you know what’s the final answer right after.
On the other hand, you’re allowed to serve multiple VAST/VPAID ads within single video with our FV Player VAST add-on. If you want to learn more about our VAST add-on you can read our How to Use FV Player VAST documentation or try our VAST demos form our demo section.

In that case everything work as it should be working.
One of our main goals with FV Player is to make truly user-friendly video platform not only for providers (our customers) but also for end-users(customers of our customers). That means we don’t want to allow our users to spam ads all over the place at least within our player. That’s definitely not the case with your website, but I hope you understand what I mean by that. So, that’s the main reason why we don’t allow ads-recycling in playlists.
However, I’ll discuss this topic with the team later and I’ll let you know if there’s anything we can do about it.

We are really sorry for the delay. We’ve planned to work on the Vimeo security update yesterday, but we’ve ran into some problems with the new Chromecast feature which caused this delay.
Our development team is planning to work on the Vimeo security update tomorrow. Sadly, I can’t tell you the exact date yet. Everything depends on how the implementation will go on.

I’ve tested that tag on various VAST testers and it is not a valid Vast tag. There’s probably something missing from the .xml file.

I don’t experience the issue with AB loop icon disappearing from control bar. Please check if you have the AB Loop feature turned on at:
WP Admin dashboard -> Settings -> Post interface options -> AB LoopAnd also check if the AB loops are turned on for that particular video in your shortcode editor within your post.
If both of the settings are set right please send us your System Info. You can find it at:
WP Admin dashboard -> Settings -> Tools -> System info
You can copy it into this tread, we won’t publicly post any of your system information.

Yes, one of our main goals with this security update is to prevent downloading Vimeo hosted videos with VideoDownloadHelper, however I can’t tell you the exact date the update will be published yet. There’s still a lot of work to do, but we will notify you during next week with new information.
For the advanced options, you need to “check” the Erweiterte Vimeo-Einbettung option. This will allow you to use all the advanced settings for Vimeo hosted videos.

Sadly, Vimeo videos are currently downloadable with VideoDownloadHelper. To truly protect your videos from downloading you need to use some kind of encryption(for example AWS MediaConvert with CloudFront and S3).
However, FV Player does offer more security options for Vimeo hosted video than the basic Vimeo player. We are currently working on a big update for the security of Vimeo hosted videos. You can try it at:WP Admin dashboard -> Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Hosting -> Vimeo(Pro) by enabling the Enhance Security (beta) option.
(Please be aware that you need to have the Beta version enabled to do this. If you don’t know how to enable the Beta, please follow this guide)
We will keep you posted about any incoming Vimeo security updates.

Yes, you need to have installed both FV Player Pro and FV Player. It’s caused by the fact that the Pro version works as an “add-on” to the free base FV Player core. So you need to have installed both if them to prevent any errors and issues.

We’re pleased by your interest in our service.
Yes, the format of the videos encrypted by Elastic Transcoder and MediaConvert is basically the same. There’s no way to download video encrypted by one of these two services. We usually prefer MediaConvert over Elastic Transcoder because it’s easier to use and it supports all the newest standards such as 4K video.
To perform the set up we will need your AWS Credentials and Admin access to your WordPress site(we recommend our clients to send these credentials via revealit.me). All of our services include proper testing, which consists of posting an example HLS encrypted video on your website in this case. We will also describe you everything and offer your an e-mail support for few days to answer all your questions related to the service.

If you mean replacing the video source tag for [fv_player id=”xx”](you can see the form in the first screenshot). You need to use our fv player short-code editor, which you can find by clicking on the FV Player button in your WordPress post(second screenshot).
This way the source url of the video will be replaced by FV Player video database id.

Which ads do you mean? If you mean the skippable video ads that appear at the beginning of the YT video. These one doesn’t appear since they are not part of Chromeless API that FV Player uses for YouTube videos.
On the other hand, the small “pop-up” ones do appear with FV Player. However, you’re able to hide them with the “Remove YouTube logo” option in the hosting settings. But be aware doing this can violate YouTube’s Terms of service so we don’t recommend to use it. Although it’s possible.

If the video image ratio is 16:9 and the screen is 2:1 then there will be black bars on the sides of that video.
The issue with a timeline showing over the video can occur on iOS<12. Please try activating Alternative iOS fullscreen mode at:

Are these problems with playback appearing only on Safari? Or do you experience similar problems on any other browser?
Best would be if you could provide us a link to your site with that affected video so we could check it.
Also please check your admin video checker and let us know what type of error appears in the checker on those videos. If you don’t know how, you can find a guide to that in “Serving Private Videos with Amazon S3” it’s at the very end of that guide as “Troubleshooting with Video Checker”.

The shortcode represents something like a “link” to the particular video in your FV Player database and it’s own settings. You can actually access your database at: WP Admin dashboard -> FV Player where you can see all your posted videos and after clicking on any of them you can change their settings. (You can see it in the attached screenshot)

Yes, you need to have CORS headers enabled for the bucket where you want to store your .m3u8 files for the HLS and also you need to set up the headers for your server.
To do this follow step-by-step the guide Martin sent to you earlier.
1. You need to add those headers to your server response, there’s link a in that guide right under the header with a detailed guide. (you can actually see this link the screenshot)
2. You need to copy and insert that XML code into the bucket properties, it’s in-depth explained later in the guide
As we said earlier, it would be super time-consuming for all of us to explain everything to you step by step via this Forum. Please consider buying our MediaConvert HLS expert set-up. We are able to configure and properly test everything for you within a few hours.

I’ve done another thoroughgoing testing, and I’ve got these results:
Firefox 47: Preroll is working properly, video is working for several seconds then the playback error occurs
Firefox 48: Preroll is working properly, video is sometimes working and sometimes the same thing as with the 47 version happens
Firefox 49-66: Everything is working fine
According to release notes for versions 48 and 49, there were done changes in HTML 5 video support. So that’s probably the reason.
I’ll forward this to our development team and contact you with the conclusion in the close future.

No, you don’t need to fill any of the AWS Decoder settings. Our shortcode editor is responsive, so you need to fill the “Video” field first with an HLS URL ending with .m3u8 and than the “Encryption key” field appears at the very bottom. There you can insert the encryption key generated with our generator in that documentation page you’ve mentioned.
It’s basically the same as with the documentation I mentioned in my previous response. Based on your experience, we’ve decided to make significant changes in the way our shortcode editor works in the case users are trying to embed HLS stream. We are also preparing an announcement for those changes on our Weblog, it should be released next week. So you can check it regularly if you want to be in touch with all of our new improvements.

For the subtitles, to insert subtitles to your video we recommend using our shortcode editor. There you can simply add .vtt files and select as which language the subtitles will show at CC menu. Here’s our documentation on that-link. Also please notice that you can open the shortcode editor via our FV Player database.

Sorry for the misunderstanding on my side, you are right.
You don’t particularly need CloudFront to use MediaConvert encrypted HLS, but it solves the problem with file permissions you would need to fix in the case you don’t want to use CloudFront.
Although MediaConvert does work without CloudFront. We recommend using them together because as I said earlier, it fixes the problem with permissions and makes stream much faster all around the globe.

Actually, you need to use CloudFront.
As the guide says in step 21. “Make sure you are using a CloudFront distribution with your S3 bucket”.
The guide is long and it’s easy to overlook this, so we might tweak the guide in the future, thanks for the feedback.For the HLS decryption key:
You can use the generator in our documentation to generate the key(step 16) and then set the key into MediaConvert DRM encryption settings as the guide says.The AWS decoder is not related to MediaConvert, it’s part of the older AWS service called ElasticTranscoder.

To use AWS MediaConvert you need to set-up S3 and Cloudfront first. MediaConvert only converts your videos to encrypted HLS, but you still need S3 to store those files and CloudFront to distribute those files.

Those are really helpful in-depth step-by-step guides but since the whole AWS set-up is really time consuming process with a lot of small things that people can possibly miss we offer our clients the AWS Expert-set up service. If you insert Vimeo video by just simply copying the video url to our site, Vimeo will force to use their own player. That’s normal.
Do the Vimeo player show featured image normally, or the same thing happens as with the FV Player?
Please try to set o the Add featured image automatically option in Integrations/Compatability menu in FV Player Pro settings.

Please just go to:
WP Admin back-end -> Settings -> FV Player Pro and simply hit any Save all changes button.(don’t need to do any changes)This should solve the problem with script loading the CSS styles file with wrong path.

We’ve tested Firefox in version 48 for Windows XP/7/8/10 and have not experienced the issue with video not playing on FV Player but playing on Vimeo.
The fact is both FV Player and Vimeo videos work on Firefox 48 if you have At least Windows 8 or newer(and of course both FV Player and Vimeo don’t work on older versions of Windows). It’s caused by older versions of Windows not supporting certain video codecs, not by version of your browser.
As I said earlier we weren’t able to reproduce your issue, but we might be missing something, so you complete system info would be usefull.
You can find it at:
WP Admin back-end -> Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Tools -> System InfoAnd please add the version of operating system on which you are experiencing the issue.

This issue is probably caused by some of your plugins or by your theme using the FancyBox libraries. So, when you turn it off globally in FV Player settings, the other plugin/theme starts to miss the FancyBox’s JavaScript and will eventually break. Most of the time.
To clearly see what causes the issue, we need your system info.
You can find it at:
WP-Admin back-end -> Settings -> FV Player pro -> Tools -> System info

Yes. As you said, although we have separate Pay per View add-on, there is still a RCP feature in the FV Player Pro core.
The problem is, that the feature supporting RCP in the FV Player Pro core is very out-dated and we are going to delete it in close future. That’s the reason why we don’t recommend using it at this state.
On the other hand, with the new Pay Per View add-on we’ve switched from RCP to EDD(Easy digital downloads) cause of their overall better pricing model(RCP is most of the time used to sell membership and EDD is developed for selling “products”. That’s the reason why EDD is much more convenient for selling video), user experience and much better integration with their own WordPress plugin.

Now to get to your problem. We’ve inspected your website. There’s clearly no possible problem with license not working on your sub-domain. The problem seems to be with your video hosting. What kind of hosting do you use for your videos?
Also, your system info would be helpful for us. You can find it at Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Tools -> System info you can copy the text here or export it as text file and send it to our mail

Now let’s get to your problem. As we can see you have a problem with size of your subtitles right? If this is the problem you can easily adjust size of the subtitles at:
WP Admin back-end -> Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Skin -> Subtitles.
There you can change font, size and background color of your subtitles.
If you want to personalize your subtitles even more(like change background opacity etc.) you can use our quick CSS reference at this link.
There’s even a reference for increasing the subtitle size only for fullscreen, here I pasted it for you:
.flowplayer.is-fullscreen .fp-subtitle .fp-subtitle-line { font-size: 250%; }

sorry for the late response. We are very happy you found the solution for your problem. As you said. It was caused by hosting the .vtt files on different domain than the player, because .vtt files are subject to cross-domain security restrictions and that’s the reason why they won’t load automatically.

Not to get to your problem. Have you followed our guide when trying to set-up the lightbox feature? Here’s a link to it. Just please make sure everything is set right in you FV Player settings.If the issue still occurs there’s a chance it’s caused by some type of plugin conflict as you said. In this case we need to see your System Info. You can find it at Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Tools -> System info. Also, have you used the lightbox feature on you website before this issue happened? Or it’s the first time you are using lightbox on your site ever?

To get to your problem, have you followed our guide when you were setting-up the sticky video feature? You can find it here.
Shortly, If you want to use sticky video feature for that one video only, you need to turn in on in Post Interface Options. You can find it here:
WP Admin back-end -> Settings -> FV Player -> Post Interface Option . After that you will be able to turn on the feature while embedding the video to your posts via our short code editor.Otherwise, if you want to turn on this feature for all videos on your website simply turn it on in your skin editor. You can find it here: Settings > FV Player > Skin tab > Sticky Video and check the box Enable.
You can find the whole instructions with screenshots in the guide I’ve mentioned recently.

so far we haven’t experienced this issue with our latest update. First things first: does this issue happen only with new videos or does it happen with old ones too?
If it happens only with the new ones please check these two settings: go to the Settings -> Post Interface options and make sure you have the Controlbar setting turned on. After that make sure that the same setting is turned on in the FV Player shortcode editor. You can check that while embedding the video in Options card in the editor.
If it happens on all of your videos, could you please provide a link for us with website with that particular problem? We could gain much more information from it.
Also you System info would be really helpful for us, you can find it at Settings -> Tools -> System info you can simply copy it and paste it here.Thanks,

There are several ways to insert CSS styles into you page, as we said in the article I’ve sent in the last reply, we recommend inserting these codes into your theme additional CSS. You can find that at you WordPress admin page at Appearance -> Customize ->Additional CSS.
Most of the themes offer this option for custom CSS.Thanks,

to set a HTML pop-up at the end of one video only you actually don’t need to write shortcodes at all. You can set up your HTML pop-ups at Settings -> FVPlayer -> “Action” where you can set up your pop-up by simply clicking “Add more pop-ups” and the shortcode will generate automatically.
After this just simply add the pop-up when embedding the video to your post by going to the “Actions” -> “End of the video” roll-up menu where you set “Show pop-up” and right under it is “End pop-up” roll down menu where you can choose from pop-ups that you’ve saved before in the settings.
After this the code will only look like this and the pop-up will appear only at the end of that single video:
[fvplayer id="xx"]
Actually all settings and attributes are saved into your own fvplayer database, so there is no need to write shortcodes manually for you.
Also please go to the Settings -> FV Player -> Setup tab -> Post Interface Options and make sure you have activated the Video Actions as it is said in the documentation you’ve linked before.

I’ve done testing on your problem and sadly I wasn’t able to reproduce it. So I went through the Internet forums and I found out that Google Analytics doesn’t offer this kind of tracking for audio files out of the box. It does offer some as you can see when you compare your screenshot with our documentation, but some of them are apparently missing.
The possible solution I found for you is at this link: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/analyticsjs/eventsApparently you need to set up custom even measurement to track those informations. Also thanks for feedback on our documentation, we will have a look at that.

Sadly I was not able to reproduce the issue you are experiencing. Please post content of Settings -> FV Player -> Tools -> System Info. I would like to see if all your FV Player plugins are on their latest versions and your settings as well.
Does the same issue occur if you post only BunnyCDN video on the site or only Amazon S3 video?
