With this “custom” version of FV Player, you can automatically overwrite audio shortcodes with “Handle WordPress [video] shortcodes” option at:

Settings -> FV Player -> Integrations/Compatibility -> Handle WordPress [video] shortcodes

We will add another ” Handle WordPress [audio] shortcodes” checkbox if this solution will work for you. We’ve decided to hide it inside the “Handle video shortcodes” potion to save time and work.

We have great experience with integration with both S2 Member and Amazon S3.

For S2 Member. Since this plugin is using simple shortcodes it’s working well with FV Player videos. Simple hide FV Player video shortcode “inside” S2 Memeber shorcodes and the video will be restricted based on your settings.

When it comes to Amazon Web Services, we have amazing integration and great experience with them. Our player integrates very well with both S3 and Cloudfront. In the case you want to find more in-depth info you can check our detailed documentation about FV Player + AWS integration.

This really depends on what post editor is the WooCommerce (or any other plugin that you’re using to sell space on your website) using. If it’s using the standard WordPress editor is shouldn’t be a problem to embed a video with FV Player.

You’ll need a way to automatically upload and encode those videos. We’re currently developing a FV Player Vzaar plugin that will solve these issues and will allow you to just drag a video file onto your website and it will automatically upload to given CDN and encode. But that’s only first part of it.

Yes, you always need to have at leat two videos to make a playlist. However, you can align the video to the left so it would look better compared to the playlists below and above.

Yes, that’s exactly how we wanted it to work. Sorry, I forgot to mention that we will definitely add the “always on” option. We’ve designed the transcript to look and work just like it was natively part of the whole page layout. So for sure, we would not want to hide it.

The tricky part is, that we don’t want to “cut off” any space to add another button to controlbar on default when the fullscreen mode is off. When the player will be in fullscreen mode, there’s plenty of space where to add a button but in the “window” mode we think it might be a little confusing for new users. We really like to keep things simple as possible and most of the time we rather try other ways than just adding a new button or new element.

Hi Michael,

I’ve discussed this with our Senior programmer Martin and we’ve came with few options on how we can hide the transcript when the video is fullscreen but leave it on when video is not in fullscreen mode.

We can add a “X” button that will show up inside the transcript field only when the video is fullscreen and when you click on that button the transcript will hide and the default transcript button will appear in the video’s control bar to toggle it on again. Also the button would disappear and the transcript would toggle on again automatically after exiting the fullscreen mode.

Do you have any other suggestion on how to do this? Don’t hesitate to leave your ideas in the reply.

Videos will autoplay with audio on computers automatically. The autoplay videos have to start muted on mobile devices because of the core device restrictions that mobile devices are using on their browsers. There’s no way to autoplay videos with audio on mobile devices.

Are you using any type of SEO or page optimalization plugin? These plugins tends to hide the version numbers on paths to those jscript and other similar files which can cause these problems. So, in the case you’re using any plugin that could do this, please try deactivating it.

Are you using FV Player on your website or in a mobile app? If you use it in the mobile app you need to contact developers of that app you’re using.

It should not happen in mobile web browsers since playing the video will automatically force your phone to stay awake and not turn your screen off.

I don’t understand what exactly do you mean by your question. If you want to protect your videos against downloading software you will need to serve them via CloudFront or you can encrypt them if you want the best level of protection. If you simply want to hide your videos behind membership paywall you don’t need CloudFront at all.

In the case you want to set up a video membership site you can use our PayPerView add-on.

We’ve tested the OneDrive and it’s not capable of video streaming. Their source URLs use an automatic redirection to their website and they restrict videos hosted on their cloud to play in any other player than their own built-in one. I haven’t found any way to “go around” these restrictions they are using on their cloud.

We’re currently working on an article about cloud hosting service that won’t allow you to stream videos from their cloud. It will appear on our Weblog in the next few days.

Oh, now I completely understand.

I’ve tested the Vimeo album support and it is working as it should for me. I can see that you have the ; symbol in your shortcode and that might be the reason why it is not working properly. Please check it and eventually delete it and let us know if it worked for you.

They’ve changed only the name from albums to showcases but they haven’t changed anything in the matter of API behind it so it should work as usual.

The error seems to refer to CORS headers or your S3 bucket, can you please double check all your settings by following this tutorial?

Finding a problem within AWS settings tends to be a little hard because of the unfriendly AWS interface. Even a slightly difference in settings can stop your videos from working.

Also your system info could be really beneficial for us, you can find it here:

WP Admin dashboard -> Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Tools

You can simply copy the whole system info into this thread, we won’t post it publicly.

This issue is often caused by some of the other plugins/or your theme using and customizing the same CSS library as FV Player for the lightbox feature. Can you please try to deactivate any suspicious plugins or switch to a basic WordPress theme and test it again?

We’re sorry but we don’t have any 100% solution for running FV Player outside WordPress yet. It’s really difficult to customize anything that requires Ajax for loading(CloudFront, S3, KeyCDN, etc.)

We are planning to release platform free version as well in the future (sorry no timeline here yet). We’ll have a look at this further in the future.

Yes, we’re planning to add skin customization options for the ab loop bar in the close future. I’m sure it will contain color customization for the timeline.

Exactly as you said, with the new look we did not want to cover any parts of the actual video. We were also experiencing issues with the “Remove youtube logo” option with the old look and this new layout helped us to solve these problems. Thanks for the nice words on layout and time popup!

Now for your recommendations:

Thanks for the info on triangle sizes. I’ll do in-depth testing on different phones with different screen sizes tomorrow, we might have missed the sizing for mobile phones with smaller screens. I’ll keep you posted about it.

The “slim ab loop skin” sounds nice to me as well, but I am not completely sure if it won’t cause any trouble with the existing main timeline of the video. Martin is currently on vacation but I’ll write down all these notes and we’ll discuss all of them when he cames back.
