Hi, some of my videos cannot load the interactive transcripts. I can’t pinpoint the problem or the difference between the .vtt files that work and the. ones that don’t. Could you help me with this?

Yes, you need to have installed both FV Player Pro and FV Player. It’s caused by the fact that the Pro version works as an “add-on” to the free base FV Player core. So you need to have installed both if them to prevent any errors and issues.

I’m not getting that “Error loading transcript. Please try again in a minute.” error on these links.
FV Player Pro uses the wp_remote_get() WordPress function to load your transcript VTT file using the HTTP protocol. Perhaps your website was blocked from accessing it.

please install this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/log-http-requests/ and then try to revisit your post with transcript in a 15 minutes. Then go o to wp-admin -> Settings -> Log HTTP Requests and look for the transcript URL there. It might end up with some error. If you see nothing, please try to visit that post again later and check the log again.

However, the file is accessible via the url. Is there something blocking it or so?

are you able to open that link in your browser? If so, then perhaps it doesn’t like the default user agent used by WordPress. So we could improve our routine to impersonate a real user browser better.
