Hi Trong,
In that case everything work as it should be working.
One of our main goals with FV Player is to make truly user-friendly video platform not only for providers (our customers) but also for end-users(customers of our customers). That means we don’t want to allow our users to spam ads all over the place at least within our player. That’s definitely not the case with your website, but I hope you understand what I mean by that. So, that’s the main reason why we don’t allow ads-recycling in playlists.
However, I’ll discuss this topic with the team later and I’ll let you know if there’s anything we can do about it.
Thanks for being part of the Foliovision,
JurajHi Trong,
I’m the creative director at Foliovision. Juraj misunderstood an internal note: we do want to allow you to run ads multiple times within a playlist. We consider that okay as network television runs ads multiple times in a day or even a show.
We’d consider it spammy to keep reopening the same ad within the same video after the viewer had closed it. You should be careful not to annoy your viewers with too much advertising and repetitive advertising but I’m sure you know that.
Hello Trong,
we have changed this for the upcoming FV Player release. It would be great if you could give it a try just reinstall FV Player from this link: https://github.com/foliovision/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/archive/master.zip
To do that you will have to first deactivate and delete the current FV Player plugin you are using. WordPress will warn you that you might loose settings and data, but it’s not the case with our plugin, no settings now videos will be lost. Or you can just replace the plugin files via FTP.
In case of issues you can still go back to the version from WordPress.org or find it in wp-admin -> Plugins -> Add New.
The change is that even if you close the overlay ad on one of the playlist items it shows up again as you go to another video in the playlist.
Thanks,
Martin
