Hi,
I just bought FV Player Pro, because I don’t like the layout of Vimeo.
In the demos it was possible in Beta 2017, but I can’t find a way to do it.
Pleasae help.

I can’t clearly understand what do you mean and what exactly was possible in 2017 but now you can’t achieve it.

FV Player Pro 7.3.10.727.beta adds support for Vimeo Albums.You need to switch to beta to get the beta updates first: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/switching-fv-player-pro-to-beta.

It doesn’t work, maybe because Vimeo changed “albums” into “showcases”?My problem is that I don’t like to make about 100 new playlists with 3 or more videos.

Oh, now I completely understand.
I’ve tested the Vimeo album support and it is working as it should for me. I can see that you have the ; symbol in your shortcode and that might be the reason why it is not working properly. Please check it and eventually delete it and let us know if it worked for you.
They’ve changed only the name from albums to showcases but they haven’t changed anything in the matter of API behind it so it should work as usual.

I’ve noticed that the link that you’ve sent is a link from our documentation. I found out that the link is expired and the album doesn’t exist anymore. I’ll replace it with working link. Thanks for pointing that out.

If I put your new code on a pge, I only see 1 video (animale (le film)), but not the other videos.
If I put this short code

Do you have your Vimeo account connected to FV Player via the API key? Your own locked playlist should work if you have your account connected with FV Player. You can do it by following this guide

this was fixed on the API end, please check your page now (or in 15 minutes when the cache times out).
We were excluding the private videos which were using the domain whitelist as we couldn’t be sure if the video is allowed for your particular domain. Otherwise it would fail to play and break the playlist experience.
We can take this from the other end – make sure a single broken video in a playlist (due to missing permissions for the domain) won’t break the playlist playback and continue to next playlist item automatically. We are already testing this new version of resilient playlist playback.

It looks like it is working. Only I can’t set the playlist style to text in the default settings. It’s just not available.

I’ve tried to set some of the video’s to show nowhere or took it of the whitelist and they showed on the FVplayer, but not in the standard player. That looks OK to me.

I miss the prev/next buttons on the controlbar.

I was thinking, wouldn’t it be nice if it’s possible to paste the Vimeo playlist URL in the FV Player and FV Player makes the playlist as usual.
Maybe you can import the seperate video’s in the playlist at once instead of video by video. In the player I can change the order or skin etc.Greetings Jacqueline

we are adding the “Text” option to Settings -> FV Player -> Sitewide FV Player Defaults -> Playlist style.
I’m not sure why the prev/next buttons don’t appear for you. They disappear automatically if your screen is too narrow, are you on mobile?
The videos are ordered from newest to oldest. We do have a hidden sort=”” attribute, but currently it doesn’t work with these Vimeo portfolios.
In one of the next FV Player versions you will be able to paste the Portfolio URL right into the Video field of FV Player Editor. It won’t import the videos into the database as doing a sync between your website and Vimeo would be thankless job. But it will make it easier to post these portfolios.

It only happens at the “tabs” skin.I’ve got a 100 playlists sorted in different custom ways with recurring videos. It would be nice if the list is sorted as in Vimeo, otherwise I have to remake them manualy in FV Player or use the Vimeo player. I don’t like one of these options. Do you see any chance it can be solved very soon?

we actually didn’t intend to add the prev/next buttons to the tabbed playlists. I think with the tabs these buttons don’t make that much sense.
I checked the order of videos in https://vimeo.com/showcase/5364603 via the API and I’m getting:

Hello Jacqueline,
the “Text” option for Settings -> FV Player -> Sitewide FV Player Defaults -> Playlist style will become available with the next FV Player release.
Or you can reinstall FV Player from this link: https://github.com/foliovision/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/archive/master.zip To do that you will have to first deactivate and delete the current FV Player plugin you are using. WordPress will warn you that you might loose settings and data, but it’s not the case with our plugin, no settings now videos will be lost. Or you can just replace the plugin files via FTP.

I’ve just updated the pro version and put it back in Beta, Now I can’t make a new Vimeo-playlist with the shortcode. The existing shortcodes still work. But if I replace the vimeo number, it shows nothing.

sorry about that, there was an issue after that Vimeo malfunction last week. Now it’s fixed and new FV Player Pro Beta (7.4.3.727.beta) is out.
