I LOVE the interactive transcript – and want it ON by default.
However, in full screen mode, I want users to be able to turn it off.
It appears that unless I set interactive transcript to *default off*, then no button is shown to toggle the transcript on and off – and in full screen mode, regardless of resizing, the interactive transcript can be a bear to more off screen.
If you had an option in “Sitewide FV Player Defaults” for “Display Interactive Transcripts Button [ ]”, that would be great.

Thanks for the nice words about our player. We’re working every day to improve it and bring new useful features into it.
You can set your interactive transcript to “Hidden by default” in your FV Player Pro settings. With this option the transcript can be toggled on/off anytime with button.
You can find the option here:
WP Admin dashboard -> Settings -> FV Player Pro -> scroll down to Video Transcript settings field.

Hi Michael,
I’ve discussed this with our Senior programmer Martin and we’ve came with few options on how we can hide the transcript when the video is fullscreen but leave it on when video is not in fullscreen mode.
We can add a “X” button that will show up inside the transcript field only when the video is fullscreen and when you click on that button the transcript will hide and the default transcript button will appear in the video’s control bar to toggle it on again. Also the button would disappear and the transcript would toggle on again automatically after exiting the fullscreen mode.
Do you have any other suggestion on how to do this? Don’t hesitate to leave your ideas in the reply.

I think your solution with having the “X” button in full screen mode is a great idea.
Also, and not sure of the feasibility, but maybe having a default ON option and showing the control panel toggle button as well – so people can toggle it off.

Yes, that’s exactly how we wanted it to work. Sorry, I forgot to mention that we will definitely add the “always on” option. We’ve designed the transcript to look and work just like it was natively part of the whole page layout. So for sure, we would not want to hide it.
The tricky part is, that we don’t want to “cut off” any space to add another button to controlbar on default when the fullscreen mode is off. When the player will be in fullscreen mode, there’s plenty of space where to add a button but in the “window” mode we think it might be a little confusing for new users. We really like to keep things simple as possible and most of the time we rather try other ways than just adding a new button or new element.
