Livestreaming with Restream

Hi,
Do you know if there is a way to connect the livestream using Restream to go to the player?

Hi Crystal,

I’ve tested Restream with various stream sources and I could find a way how to embed any stream to our player. I’ll discuss it with our Senior programmer and we’ll see if there’s anything we can do about it.

I’ll keep you posted.

Hi Crystal,

Could you please provide us a link to that particular stream that you’ve made for testing it? So, we could test it by ourselves to see if we can somehow improve the compatibility with Restream.

Hello Crystal,

thank you for sharing your Restream stream URL. It doesn’t appear to play, I tried with VLC player.

Is there no other streaming option available, like HLS? Use of RTMP for web video is not recommended as it requires Flash and thus it won’t play on mobile devices.

And I spoke with restream and they said that they only use RTMP

Hello Crystal,

I tried the Wowza test player at https://www.wowza.com/testplayers -> Adobe RTMP and it won’t play either.
