Can FV player look into allowing the video to expand on phones in landscape mode like youtube without the phone being on auto rotate ?? and also another AD banner when the user press pause

What exactly do you by “youtube-like landscape mode without being rotated”? I can’t imagine how it should look like. Maybe if you could send us a screenshot of that layout from YouTube will help us understand.

making sure the fullscreen video mode forces the landscape orientation on mobile devices is on our list of things to do.

we have added the “Force landscape orientation in fullscreen” setting for the upcoming release of FV Player. It would be great if you could give it a try – just reinstall FV Player from this link: https://github.com/foliovision/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/archive/master.zip
To do that you will have to first deactivate and delete the current FV Player plugin you are using. WordPress will warn you that you might loose settings and data, but it’s not the case with our plugin, no settings now videos will be lost. Or you can just replace the plugin files via FTP.
In case of issues you can still go back to the version from WordPress.org or find it in wp-admin -> Plugins -> Add New.
Then you will be able to see the setting in Settings -> FV Player -> Mobile Settings box.
The downside is that this kind of fullscreen rotation lock is not supported on iOS, so this feature is Android only (with Google Chrome and Samsung Internet browsers).
