• automated video encoding checker
• Text Ads (Google AdWords or your own)
• pre-roll, post-roll video (i.e. video ads)
• playlists
• full RTMP streaming compatibility
• mobile video support with flash fallback for some Chrome versions
• secure Amazon S3 and Cloudfront playback
• Advanced Vimeo Pro hosting support
• basic YouTube support (more coming)
• video lightbox

All you can do is disable NextGenGallery’s javascript on non-NGG pages. Same can be done with FV Flowplayer. Then don’t mix the two.

NextGenGallery is at the top of my list of worst WordPress plugins. Poisoned many a site build in the day.

Our honest recommendation Kamal at this point is that if you want to use Foliopress WYSIWYG pick either Safari, Chromium (we never recommend Chrome, it’s spyware) or Firefox.

If you’d like to file a pro support incident, we’d be happy to accelerate these upgrades. Foliopress WYSIWYG is freeware and we’ve put many hundreds of hours into it. Strangely people still prefer the broken and overly complex WordPress image posting system. The WordPress text editor has gotten better but I still prefer our version, it’s much more resilient to complex posts.

I kinda thought the player was containing 100% of flowplayer with amazon s3 connection coded in.

We have 100% of Flowplayer.org functionality plus a load more custom functionality and integration into WordPress which we’ve programmed. You can change the player CSS as much as you like to add another skin. What we do not have right now is multiple skins in a single website (which doesn’t sound like a particularly useful feature to me, outside of websites for small children: FV Flowplayer is focused on useful features like advertising, security and efficient workflow, not eye candy and bells and whistles).

It should be added as an optional extra, turned on by default (i.e. if someone wants to use two video players, they can turn it off, but we’ll assume if they have installed FV Flowplayer they would prefer to use FV Flowplayer).

There some information about what appears to be the same issue in our FAQ. Look for “I installed the plugin, inserted the video, but it’s not working, only a gray box appears.”

You could also search for OptimizePress in the forums for a similar case.

Do you have a FV Flowplayer 5 license? If not, this site-specific issue would be covered by a Pro Support Incident. I’m sure if you changed your theme the problem would go away. And FV Flowplayer 5 probably works on most Gantry sites (probably something specific to your set up). Again, this is web development and not plugin support.

The playlist feature will remain in lightboxes attached to the post for the forseeable future: at Foliovision we prefer front end editing attached to the content in question. It’s a much faster workflow. Check out our Thoughtful Comments and FV Simpler plugins for examples of simple front end editing from Foliovision.

We may add advanced backend playlists in the pro version at some point. Someone will have to make a convincing business/use case for backend playlists first. Feel free to be that someone.

I don’t know if you noticed but the playlist feature is brand new feature. Right now we are working hard on functionality before cleaning the user interface (we followed this process for the main player as well. If you have any clear ideas on how playlists should look feel free to forward them.

My first thought is that I wouldn’t mix Cloudfront in with Amazon S3 and restricted content. Amazon S3 and Cloudfront are largely redundant in any case.

If the Google sitemap feature requires full paths, that is probably more an issue for that end of the software than for FV Flowplayer. We can use full absolute paths on our end but I’m not sure if people would be very happy about it (requires additional connections) and we’ve had hosting companies complain about absolute paths on internal media.

Creating absolute paths on publish is no problem whatsoever if we can establish that absolute paths won’t create worse problems of their own.

Martin’s post is accurate but the short version is:

• your template is out of date
• update your template for compatibility with current WordPress and modern plugins
• FV Flowplayer 5 will then also work fine

We’ve seen out of date jQuery libraries as a big issue not just with FV Flowplayer 5 but with sliders as well (i.e. sliders break when you update).

I’m sorry not to post the screenshots earlier but I had to do quite a bit of testing to make sure that my settings worked well (I changed them a bit). They are great for expanding to full screen as well. For really fast start, it would be better to lower the bit rate but then the videos look a bit blocky.

We’d love to get your feedback on how these settings work for you.
