Hello dot4all,
Unfortunately at this point we only do this when required, for example in case of Amazon S3 Protected videos.
If you need this feature for your work, we’d be happy to work with you to implement it on your site immediately if you buy a license.
If you’d prefer not to buy a license for the moment, we may add this as a feature in the future.
Thanks,
Martin
Hello David,
we are working on revising this idea – each video in post will get its own post meta value where we will store this information.
Problem is that storing the playtime takes a while, so if there are too many videos in the post, we will be only able to process a bunch of them on post save.
Thanks,
MartinHi Martin,
I’ve page list and I need to show video length near this page list. I’ve only one video for page.
@Alec yes people should know the video length but after that they opened it.
I think best solution is implement my custom function with getID3 library without modify plugin.
Thank you.
Hello David,
we added this feature (off by default) and added required documentation here: http://foliovision.com/player/api-programming#video-length
Read the above to see how it’s enabled and how to use it in your templates.
Thanks,
MartinHello David,
a demo can be seen here: http://foliovision.com/player/demos/video-playlist-durations
Thanks,
MartinHello David,
if you suspect that the video duration checker has stalled, you can re-start it by disabling Integrations -> Scan video length and the re-enabling it.
There might be a single post breaking it. Can you check what is the first and last item in the fv_flowplayer_checker_queue wp_option serialized array and then check posts with that ID?
Thanks,
MartinHi David,
Your license gets you the pro features and a single pro support incident. This is an additional incident. I don’t see a reason for us to resolve your server issues hands on for free. You should be happy that there is pro support available. Most plugins just tell you to fly a kit or sing you “some day over the rainbow”. Unlike the Judy Garlands of the development world, we will fix your site.
Sorry about that. In any case, thanks for being part of Foliovision!
Making the web work for you, Alec
