How to add in video ads to FV Wordpress Flowplayer?

[Solved]

  • MN 11 years, 11 months ago

    I would like to use codes from four separate ad networks. They look something like this:

    # # # Exoclick

    <script type=”text/javascript”>
    var exoOpts = {
    cat: ‘2’,
    login: ‘blrs12’,
    idzone_300x250: ‘490667’,
    idzone_468x60: ‘490667’,
    idsite: ‘171472’,
    preroll: {},
    pause: {},
    postroll: {},
    show_thumb: ‘1’
    };
    </script>
    <script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://ads.exoclick.com/invideo.js”></script&gt;

    # # # Juicy Ads

    <!–JuicyAds v2.0–>
    <iframe border=0 frameborder=0 marginheight=0 marginwidth=0 width=308 height=286 scrolling=no allowtransparency=true src=http://adserver.juicyads.com/adshow.php?adzone=221518></iframe>
    <!–JuicyAds END–>

    # # # AdXpansion

    <!– Generated by AdXpansion –>
    <script type=’text/javascript’>
    var adx_displayonload=1;
    var adx_isad_display = 1;
    </script>
    <script type=’text/javascript’ src=’http://ads.adxpansion.com/public/js/showads.php?zone_id=101683&ver=1&type=flowplayer’></script&gt;
    <!– End of AdXpansion code –>

    # # # Ero-Advertising

    <!– BEGIN EroAdvertising ADSPACE CODE –>
    <script type=”text/javascript” language=”javascript” charset=”utf-8″ src=”http://adspaces.ero-advertising.com/adspace/247751.js”></script&gt;
    <!– END EroAdvertising ADSPACE CODE –>

    There is just one plugin, and multiple websites (up to 50 or 100 domains). I should be ok with displaying an ad code depending on the domain name (in JavaScript), but I am not sure where these codes should go in your plugin.

    Thank you.

    Hi MN,

    We could help you add your ads to FV Flowplayer 5. Ads are a pro only feature at this point.

    Thanks for using FV Plugins!

    So there is no way to add in video ads to the regular plugin? Or would it be a metter of getting the pro version in order to get help with that?

    Most of the above codes are JavaScript, so I think it does not have to be added to any of the php files, but either to one of the files in fv-wordpress-flowplayer/flowplayer folder (possibly flowplayer.min.js) or to one of the files in fv-wordpress-flowplayer/js).

    Unfortunately I don’t have any funds that I can spend at the moment, so I will try to figure it out by myself.

    Thank you.

    Hi Mariusz,

    Thanks for your note.

    If you make any progress on adding video ads please let us know so we can incorporate your solution in FV Flowplayer 5 so you don’t have to maintain it separately.

    If not, we’ll get around to the ads sometime relatively soon (next couple of months). Currently a pro license would not allow to add video ads (a pro license does allow you to put your own branding on the player and a link to your site).

    Are you able to add video preroll ads now? From brightroll, adsense etc? thanks.

    I should add… with the Paid version?

    Martin 12 years ago

    Hello Ted,

    we will work full speed on VAST/VPAID right after we finish integration of Amazon S3 signed URLs and playlists. Both are currently in beta testing stage.

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Just wondering how you guys are progressing? My friend and I are working on a plugin for WP that will word with pre roll ads. I did see there is a guy who released a pre roll plugin, but can’t use ad networks tags.

    What is your expected release date?

    Martin 12 years ago

    Hello MJG,

    sorry about the delay, I’m back from vacation and catching up on all the tasks.

    We first need to finish the playlist/preroll feature, then we will start working on supporting ad network tags.

    We already support normal ads, like Google Ad Sense and so on – just paste the ad script code into the ad field in plugin settings and set it’s dimensions. Guide is available here.

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hi Martin and Alec. I need your help.
    How to implement vast pre-roll and overlay volume tags into fv wordpress flow player. I bought a license and tried to add codes into the Ad sections. but unfortunately it doesn’t work.
    Please, let me know if you can help me with it asap.
    Thank you

    Hi Fred,

    VAST/VPAID is more complicated than just adding pre-roll tags. We are coming out with a VAST/VPAID solution soon as an add on. We will not be able to help you implement VAST/VPAID on your own.

    You can run AdWords in our existing ad section (or affiliate ads or your own ads).

    Thanks.

    Hi, I am releasing an MIT license VAST/VPAID plugin soon. I have a very very shallow version online now but will be putting a more extensive work up in the next 2-6 weeks.

    While most companies wont be too keen to work on free OVA ads; if anyone here is interested drop me a line.

    This plugin will work currently work in most players that allow cue points. Not working for fullscreen VPAID until version 2.

    The plugin requires connectors, which are just a function map, to hook into video events. Incidentally, Flowplayer is the first one being worked out after the original plugin, so I thought I’d mention it here.

    Chhers.
