Conflict with Jetpack plugin

[Solved]

Foliovision › Forums › FV Player › Troubleshooting › Conflict with Jetpack plugin

  • Matthew B. 11 years, 11 months ago

When I have the popular WordPress Jetpack plugin activated on my site, I can no longer use the Foliovision Flowplayer button in my posts. Specifically, I click the “Add FV WP Flowplayer” button in the visual editor, it pops up asking me for my video. I fill in the boxes for the video like normal and click the blue Insert button but then instead of the shortcode being inserted into the post, nothing happens.

Now, I know you can’t guarantee compatibility with every WordPress plugin out there, but Jetpack is a pretty high profile one, so would it be possible to fix this?

    Thanks!

    Hello Matthew,

we are looking into this. Jetpack has a lot of modules, so perhaps one of them is causing issues.

    Thanks,
    Martin

Great, for now I can manually enter the shortcodes for movies but it is lots more convenient to use the FV Flowplayer button.

    Hello Matthew,

this has been fixed. It was related to After the Deadline part of JetPack.

We applied the fix to your site and it will be in the next bugfix release of our plugin too.

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hi Alec/Martin,

Just tested the plugin again and I can confirm it’s now fixed, great work thank you.

I have the exact same problem as described by Matthew B., but I already had Jetpack and I am just now trying to use Foliovision and since I have never seen how it is supposed to operate, I am short on solutions to get it to work, and frankly it’s driving me nuts!
