Can we use this plugin running pre-roll ads but running videos from YouTube and Vimeo?

Hi Alf,

Yes, you can as soon as we release our YouTube and Vimeo version of the plugin. This is coming very soon.

I.e. the pre-roll ads are working already. There is a temporary workaround if you are willing to host the content yourself in the meantime. There could be copyright issues though depending on what the content is.

You’re welcome.

What underlying systems do DFP and LiveRail work on?

Currently you can add your own ads. So probably adding the external video services would be custom coding.

Hello Filip,

the Vimeo integration is in beta stage.

VAST pre-rolls (I guess that’s what you are looking for) are also in beta stage, but the problem is that only few ad providers provide HTML5 VAST ads, so there is more work to be done.

Please let us know if you are interested, who your ad provider is and we can have a look.

Hi Martin,

I am also very interested in using VAST tags with your FV Flowplayer. Our providers are adap.tv and vindico.

Do you happen to have an estimated release date for VAST support in this plugin? Is there a workaround that I might be able to implement in order to get these working with the current version of the plugin?

We are also hoping to be able to set our ads up in a waterfall arrangement, so that if the first ad is not fulfilled, alternate ads could be displayed. Do you know if the VAST features you are working on will support this sort of arrangement out-of-the-box, or will this require a custom solution?

Yes you were right! Vimeo is not a problem, VAST ads are :-)

Ads are provided from ad network that uses DFP. Do you need me to send the codes so you can test it?

Also, I would rather send them to an e-mail than post them here, if it’s ok with you…

I’m interested in implementing this to my 10 WordPress sites if it works. I guess this is 100 domains licence?

I uploaded a program to youtube that aired and added it to the website via your plugin and it showed the youtube player on it. I thought it would show your skin instead of youtube. Did I do something wrong?

currently the Youtube support if basic as you can see, but will we work on improving this. Vimeo comes first though. We have a first working beta version already.

cos im using WP and YouTube hosted videos only… if i can use pre-roll videos for YouTube hosted videos (i can be hosted pre-roll videos on my own server) ill buy instantly :)

Hi,

my clients video content is on Vimeo Pro and their ads are managed with Google DFP.

Can flowplayer already managed this combination? Is there any way I can (beta or not) test it?

we have good experience with using Google DFP video ads and some of our users are using this setup.

Could you please send us your video ad URL (we won’t publish it) so we can double check? We can setup a demo page with that.

I’m working on a project that needs to use Google DFP video ads and videos streaming from a Vimeo Plus account just like Rafael posted in this thread. Can you help me to get that working also?
