changing logo position in lightbox player

[Solved]

Foliovision › Forums › FV Player › How to … › changing logo position in lightbox player

  • Debbie 11 years, 9 months ago

    Hi there,

My client and I are very, very pleased with the FV Flowlplayer Pro.

I have one question. Is it possible to change the position of the logo when using the lightbox? (either a different area or closer to the edge of the player)

My client’s videos are screencasts and the default logo position occasionally obscures the view of some of the mouse movements.

    Thanks!

    Hello Debbie,

we are happy if your plugin helps you with making the video playback on your websites enjoyable.

Logo can be positioned in CSS, you can check the instructions here: http://foliovision.com/player/faq#how-change-position-custom-logo

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hi Martin,
Yes I did find that code yesterday, but at first it didn’t do anything.

Just now, when I removed the “#content” it stretched the logo across the width of the lightbox player.
Perhaps it’s because the website person used theme builder?

    Hi Debbie!

I’m sorry to hear about your CSS issues. Theme builder is probably the culprit. We’d be happy to solve your theme issue hands on. Just order a pro incident and we’ll fix your theme for you.

    Hi Alec,

I figured out the problem! (and it was a simple one)

I remembered when I added the logo in the plugin settings, there’s the option to choose right, middle, left alignment and I didn’t remember choosing one.

I went back in to the settings, re-inserted the logo image and chose “Right”. Once I did that everything worked like a charm! :D

    Hello Debbie,

are you sure your logo issues were not related to the CSS caching in your browser? We use a standard WordPress dialog to insert the logo (although it should be updated to latest version) and these align settings in it have no effect on our plugin. It’s just something that’s in core WordPress.

    Thanks,
    Martin

I’m pretty sure Martin. I wasn’t the only one trying to troubleshoot it. The person who put together the website was having the same issue and was posting/looking for feedback in the ithemes forum. (we don’t work from the same location)
As soon as I re-inserted the logo from the WordPress Library and told it to right justify, it bounced to the upper right corner. (the coding was already in the CSS at the time)

    Hello Debbie,

I think we should add a setting for the logo position (top left, top right, bottom left and bottom right).

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Martin, that’s a good idea

OR (just a suggestion) you could just have the logo sit on the bottom part of the player (to the left of the title) and eliminate the issue altogether.

I can see the logo on the screen itself being ok for a marketing video, but for a screencast it can cause a problem.

    Hello Debbie,

the setting for the logo position is now part of the plugin.

    Thanks,
    Martin
