for example this article does not take a highlighted image https://www.farmaciaalcorso.com/it/promozioni/swisse-enterobalance-capsule/
Hi Rosetta,
Thank you for specifying your issue.
FV Simpler SEO plugin allows you to set the og:image tag manually, but only if you want to use one image for all posts. In that case, you go to FV Simpler SEO –> Settings –> Advanced options –> add into the Additional Post Headers field.
Did you set any particular image in those settings which might appear for your posts when sharing them instead of the image you want? If yes, make sure you remove this setting and click on ‘Update options’.
Now, if you’d like to set only an individual image for a page – please, set the ‘Featured image’ of the article/page to the image from your WordPress library you want to use for it. Clear your page cache. Then go to https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ enter the page URL (https://www.farmaciaalcorso.com/it/promozioni/swisse-enterobalance-capsule/) there, and then click the “Scrape again” button. Facebook should get the new image from your page.
Let us know, if it has worked.
Thanks,
ChiaraHello Chiara Rendekova,
to your question:
“Did you set any particular image in those settings which might appear for your posts when sharing them instead of the image you want?”the answer is no
I tried your solutions but it doesn’t work.
These are custom fields, I don’t have an option for highlighted image, there is only image in the article bodyHi Rosetta,
Maybe you can’t see the Featured/Product image option there because the option to display it is unchecked in the Screen options. Go to –> Screen options for the particular product in your WordPress backend –> check the box next to Featured image/Product image if it was unchecked.
If this still didn’t solve your problem, could you please create a temporary user access for us in WordPress and share the login information here using https://revealit.me? We won’t post any of these information publicly. This will allow us to take a closer look at the particular product and find out how to solve your issue.
Thanks,
ChiaraHello Rosetta,
if you do not use the standard WordPress Featured Image feature, then you are not making it for any plugin to suit your needs.
As explained FV Simpler SEO does use exact that and if it’s not present it checks the post content – meainin the post_content field of the WordPress post object: https://github.com/foliovision/fv-all-in-one-seo-pack/blob/master/fv_simpler_seo.class.php#L3462-L3498
Does your custom post type use that? You can check if the standard WordPress post editor is enabled for it and where does it save in database.
Thanks,
Martin
