Q: Where can I find my license key?
A: While logged in, click Account in the top right corner. Or just follow this link.
Q: My license key is not working! Why?
A: In Dashboard->FV Player->Settings, you’ll see the license key your plugin is trying to use. Go to your account and check, if the key associated with your license is the same one as in your settings. If not, then copy the key from your account and manually insert it into FV Player settings.
If the license key is correct and you’ve just purchased the license, try waiting for a bit. The licensing system may have an occasional delay in registering new licenses.

Q: Is the license renewed automatically?
A: No, you have to perform the renewal manually. But don’t worry, we send you several emails making sure that you don’t miss the discounted renewal period. If you’re a long term happy customer and don’t want to bother each year, consider purchasing the 5 year extension.
Q: Where can I check license expiration?
A: While logged in, click Account in the top right corner. Or just follow this link. The expiration date is in the status field.
Q: Can I use the same license key for several domains?
A: No, each license is for one top level domain. However, all subdomains of that top level domain are licensed. I.e. if you have mydomain.com, then sub.mydomain.com is automatically licensed too. Learn more here.
Q: Can I use the same license key for a staging/dev site?
A: Yes, you can, but some rules apply. The staging site must be a subdomain, the license must be active and you can only add one staging site. Learn more here.
Q: I missed the renewal period before expiration. What can I do?
A: If you renew before expiry, you only pay $25, which is 1/3 of the original price. Don’t worry if you miss the renewal period, as an existing customer, you still only pay $58, which is 2/3 of the original price. Not many WordPress plugins offer such a deal.

Q: Why do I have to pay $25 to change my domain?
A: The $25 fee for changes to the primary domain was put in place to avoid people misusing domain changes to get around the licencing. Sadly, it was established based on previous experience.
However, we do strive to treat our customers fairly in other ways, for example discounted renewal prices.
Q: You say the product is mine forever, but you charge a yearly license. Why?
A: The product truly is yours forever. What is paid yearly are the updates and advanced support.
If you choose to not renew FV Player, it keeps working, you can keep using your custom logo and the Pro features, but we cannot guarantee everything will keep working in the new browsers (like that time when Chrome stopped video autoplay for first-time visitors) or operating system versions (mainly iOS, Android).
Q: Are all FV products a one-time purchase?
A: There is one exception – FV Player VAST. This plugin has to be renewed yearly in order to function.
The reason is that this plugin costs us more money and time to maintain and it also often requires providing our users with a higher level of hands-on and time consuming support. Despite that, we still manage to provide it at a much lower price than competitors.
Q: Can I get a discount?
A: We do offer a 30% discount to educational institutions and non-profit organizations. Please contact support at our domain foliovision.com with a direct link to your site and we will check whether you qualify. Be prepared to provide us with a copy (screenshot, pdf) of an official document – for example from inland revenue – regarding your non-profit status.
Q: Can I get a refund?
A: If we are unable to help you make your videos play properly, we are happy to offer a refund within 30 days. Send an email to support at the domain foliovision.com with the issues you are facing and we’ll help you make FV Player work on your site or provide a cheerful refund. As we offer a free player version, please take advantage of the unlimited opportunity to test before purchase.
Please note that as intangible goods, FV Player Pro is not covered by Paypal’s buyer protection. Publishers must work with us in good faith to resolve any technical issues in order to be eligible for refund.
Q: How can I pay?
A: You can pay by PayPal, by a credit card via the PayPal checkout, or by a direct bank deposit.
Q: Do you also do custom work?
A: Yes, we offer several services. We can help you with theme-related issues, with migrating a large video library, or with any other video-related issues requiring hands-on support. We can also offer you an expert video security consultation, or even go and create an video workflow for you ourselves. Same goes for AWS services. Q: Do you have a referral / affiliate / reseller program?
A: We don’t have a reseller program per se, but we do have a referral/affiliate program. On software, the referral rates are 20% and on services 10%. On large enough volume/regular enough orders we could increase the rate on services.

If you are sending in large customers directly, with a substantial service order ($500+), we’d be happy to credit your sale without the link if you let us know in advance or at the same time the order comes in.
