Martin,
That seemed to fix it. You’re awesome. Every time I have an issue you’re able to kill it. Thanks for your help, as always.

That seemed to fix the issue. I didn’t realize the downloads were domain specific. Thanks for your help here. Appreciate it, as always.
9 years ago in reply to: Can’t Find Flash FileI added the vast=”skip”. This content appears to be loading now. I’ll keep an eye on it and let you know if I re-encounter the issue.
Thanks,

I added the flash parameter. You should be able to test on this page:

9 years ago in reply to: Can’t Find Flash FileHi Martin,
I’ve logged in to the server and verified the file exists. I’ve also updated to 2.3.16. Is there a way to set only one player to use Flash? Right now I’ve defaulted all the players to use HTML5 in order to get the content to load.
Thanks,
Matt

10 years ago in reply to: VAST Issue with ChromeThanks Martin. I checked my Chrome settings and Flash is enabled. Still no ads. Were you able to see ads when you enabled Flash in Chrome?

10 years ago in reply to: Trelo Media VPAIDHi Martin,
Can you check my website now? You should see the player there now. I have no problems with the player when the tag is set to render in HTML5. However, no ads will be returned in HTML5 since it is a VPAID tag. When I set the tag to play in a Flash player, that’s when I get the player to disappear. The player initially loads, then when I click play, it disappears.
I copied the tag you have above to make sure the proper macros are set and I’m still getting the problem.

I was attempting to post on FoodieStar.com home page, though I took the player down as it wasn’t working. The tag is below:
10 years ago in reply to: VAST VPAID ad tag in FlashHi Martin,
I’m having trouble with a VPAID tag. It’s from Trelo Media. When I set the player to Flash (to support the VPAID tag), the player disappears on me. Do you guys support Trelo Media tags?
Thanks,
Matt
10 years ago in reply to: Custom analyticsHi Martin,
Can you send me your email? I can send you what those tags look like but prefer not to post them in a public forum.
Thanks,
Matt
10 years ago in reply to: Custom analyticsHi Martin,
Yes, we can get ad start events, clicks, etc, from our ad providers. The problem is marrying it up with third party reporting data. For example, say we get visitors from Google, Facebook, and Pinterest. Through our ad providers, we can see the overall performance, but we aren’t able to segregate performance by source or channel. If we were able to use third party tracking, we might be able to see that Facebook performs better than Google, and allocate more of our own marketing efforts there. Let me know if that makes sense.
Thanks!
Matt
10 years ago in reply to: ver 2.1.2 start video mutedTested this and it works great. Doesn’t conflict with the VAST/VPAID ads plug-in either. Thanks for the work guys!
10 years ago in reply to: ver 2.1.2 start video mutedAwesome! Thanks for the update.
10 years ago in reply to: ver 2.1.2 start video mutedHi Martin,
I use this option to start videos with no sound. Sometimes the content video loads muted, sometimes it loads with audio on. It seems more likely to play audio upon a subsequent visit.
Thanks,
MattThanks Martin. All ad networks I’m familiar with will allowed muted play. Do you have any ETA on when the next release will be available? Will it be available via the WP admin interface?
Hi,
Any update on the VAST autoplay bug? I updated the Flowplayer VP plugin to the latest build but the video audio still overlaps the ad audio when set to autoplay. Is there anyway I can set the default player and ad volume to mute? I tried setting the default volume to 0.0 but the audio in the ad still plays.
Thanks!
Hi,
I just purchased a VAST license and have been testing it out. Excited you guys have integrated this! With the explosive growth of online video advertising, there’s a big demand for good VAST/VPAID players that are easy to use. With that said, here’s some feedback I’ve noticed so far:
1) There seems to be a bug with VAST autoplay. When I have a preroll ad and the player is set to autoplay, the audio from the video starts to play over the ad, so the ad audio and video audio overlap. Obviously not an ideal advertising experience. The audio restarts when the ad is over and the video starts to play. This behavior isn’t present when the player is set to click-to-play.
2) The ability to add multiple fallback ad tags would be huge. For example, if I work with several ad partners, I could add their ad tags in order of precedence. So if tag from partner 1 fills, it plays that ad. If it doesn’t fill, the player would try to grab an ad from partner 2, partner 3, partner 4, etc.
If I come across any other notes I’ll pass them along.
