VAST Issue with Chrome

[Solved]

Foliovision › Forums › FV Player VAST › Troubleshooting › VAST Issue with Chrome

  • Matthew G. 10 years, 3 months ago

    Hi,

I’m having trouble with the VAST plug-in. I have a VPAID tag from Spotxchange that I have enabled using the Flash ad engine. When I test in Safari and IE, the test ad properly loads. However, when testing in Chrome, no ad loads. Has anyone else experienced this same issue?

Additionally, SpotX is saying the page URL value is hard encoded, but I’m using the “__page-url__” macro. I saw there was a bug related to this issue a few months back but that it was fixed. I’m using the latest version of the plug-in so I didn’t think it would be an issue. I’m trying to get more in from SpotX on what they’re seeing exactly and will let you know.

    Hello Matthew,

I checked your licensed website. I got the same issue in Chrome, but then I noticed by Flash is disabled in about://plugins could you please check?

Also, the VAST URL looks properly parsed:

    ‘http://search.spotxchange.com/vast/2.00/YOUR-ID-HERE?VPAID=1&content_page_url=http%3A%2F%your-website.com%2Fyour-page%2F&cb=0.5992830586619675&player_width=640&player_height=360’

    Thanks,
    Martin

Thanks Martin. I checked my Chrome settings and Flash is enabled. Still no ads. Were you able to see ads when you enabled Flash in Chrome?

    Hello Matthew,

yes, I’m getting the test ad.

Please check whether you are using any browser extension. You might be using Ghostery and blocking some of the ad requests.

    Thanks,
    Martin
