Florian6 years ago in reply to: Vast Tester AdbutlerDo you think you (or flow player) can help with an error log. Or is it easier to change to google dfp? do you have a list of tested adservers that will deliver overlays?
Thanks, Florian6 years ago in reply to: Vast Tester AdbutlerThanks for your answer Martin.
I’m trying to sort this issue out with adbutler.
The support asked and can you perhaps help me?
Does Flowplayer have any more detailed error logs around 2.98s — ad-playback-error? We tested it using a Flowplayer VAST tester and for linear media, it was throwing an error because there was no defined preroll linear media. Just wondering if you have, or can get any further detail on the error?Cheers,
Rob

i’ll forward your suggestion. The latest reply from Automattic:
Hey Florian,
Thanks for the test site and the specific details. I was able to log in to the test site and check out that post. There is definitely a conflict on some level with the VaultPress plugin as I was able to replicate exactly what you’re describing.
The post took forever to update when VaultPress and the FolioVision player were both active but updated quickly as soon as I deactivated VaultPress. Since this site isn’t connected to VaultPress, it clearly has nothing to do with the real-time backups process.
I’ve sent a request to our developers and asked that they take a look, but since this is a very particular problem, I can’t guarantee that they will have the time to address it soon.
Do you mind leaving that test site for now so that our developers can take a look? Would you please add working SSH credentials for that site to the alternate section of the VaultPress dashboard?
Could you also reach back out to the team at FolioVision and let them know of what we’ve found? They may be able to have a look at their code to see if they can identify the source of the problem.
I’ll keep you posted on any updates here if you’ll keep us posted on what they say. Sound like a plan?
Thanks for your patience with all of the back and forth here!
Best,
Tracy

6 years ago in reply to: Backend Problems – Post saving takes too longHi Martin,
The log http answer plugin:
{ “errors”: { “http_request_failed”: [ “cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 60001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received” ] }, “error_data”: [] }
I’m communicating with the very helpful Automattic staff, unfortunately there is no solution yet.
Thanks, Florian6 years ago in reply to: VAST overlay ads issue in SafariHi,
thanks for your answer.
Safari 11.0.3 and OS X 10.13.3.
Do you need something like a video of the blinking?
Florian6 years ago in reply to: Backend Problems – Post saving takes too longYes, but only when FV Player is activated. Do you think this Plugin conflict is solvable?
Thanks, Florian6 years ago in reply to: Backend Problems – Post saving takes too longHi,
thanks for your answer.
I attached two screenshots, one with Vaultpress alone during post editing, one with Vaultpress and FV Player together.
Thanks, Florian6 years ago in reply to: Backend Problems – Post saving takes too longHi, Vaultpress seems to be running without issues. The conflict is also on the other installation. At the moment i deactivate Vaultpress when i update posts with Foliovision Shortcode. Any chance for a solution?
Thanks, Florian6 years ago in reply to: Backend Problems – Post saving takes too longI’ve transferred the site to another server and tested a bit and now i think it’s a plugin conflict with Vaultpress.
Everything worked fine after i deactivated it and the problem was immediately back after the reactivation.
Florian6 years ago in reply to: Backend Problems – Post saving takes too longit was unchecked………
Any other ideas?6 years ago in reply to: Backend Problems – Post saving takes too longHi Martin!
For example:
[fvplayer src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/c7media/alexis_t/airbob_tetsis_gr15.mp4" splash="https://www.continentseven.com/c7/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/airbob_tetsis_gr15-560x315.jpg" caption="Air Bob by Alexis Tetsis"]
It’s not Youtube or Vimeo, but on another server. Does it length check every time i update a post? Is it possible to disable the time check?
Thanks, Florian6 years ago in reply to: Close ButtonHi,
the code:

No css added for the player at the moment. Thanks, Florian

7 years ago in reply to: Converting JW Player shortcodesHi, i just started converting the website to FV Player and saw that the fix you applied above isn’t in the latest stable release. Would you be so kind and help me again?
Thanks a lot, Florian7 years ago in reply to: Converting JW Player shortcodesThe fix works as expected. Great, thanks a lot.
Florian7 years ago in reply to: Converting JW Player shortcodesWow. What a fast and fantastic support. I’m shocked!
That is much better and convenient than my solution (i’ve tried to code a bit with wp_get_attachment_url).
A little issue remains for me. After the conversion the shortcode looks like splash=”http://www.xxxxxxxxxxx/wp-content/uploads/538511″, which is the correct mediaid for the picture, but not the correct url.
Would be great, if you could change that.
Thanks a lot. Florian
