This short screen capture video explains the difficulty I’m having upgrading to the Pro version of the FV player: https://www.screencast.com/t/WE63UJ0oVp

    Hi Scott,

Thank you for reporting this, we’ll double check our auto installing button. In the meanwhile you can download the Pro plugin from https://foliovision.com/my-licenses as a zip file and install it manually.

    Thanks,
    Eduard

    Hi Scott,

we checked the “Install Pro extension” button functioning and fixed some bug in it, however the issue only appeared if you had FV Player Pro installed before, then removed it and then tried to use this button right after that. Please let us know if that way the case here.

Alternatively the issue could appear if your WordPress requires FTP to install plugins, although we handle that case as well. So perhaps there is some other security measure?

Were you able to activate the license on your site by clicking the “Apply Pro upgrade” button as documented in Install instructions for Pro Extension or did you had to put in the key by hand? There is chance that your server refuses to communicate with our server.

    Thanks,
    Eduard

Martin, I had not installed Pro before, only the free player. I tried to use the instructions on the page you referenced, but ran into problems. I host on WP Engine and have never had to use FTP to install plugins.

Eduard, manually uploading the Pro plugin worked. Thanks.

By the way, I never got an email notice of your answers, even though I checked that box. Plus, there is a block of code that blocks part of the response box…screen shot: https://www.screencast.com/t/nUuB4okfaOs

My mistake on the email…I didn’t realize I had put the wrong address into my profile. I did get it on a different gmail account.
