Ha Thanks Martin. And have fun grooving with that app :-)
3 years ago in reply to: Empty Vimeo cacheMy previous comment seems to be stuck awaiting moderation.
3 years ago in reply to: Empty Vimeo cacheMy website uses the shortcode. I just fill in the vimeo ID and then the theme has this “do_shortcode” thing.
But there is no splash link added to that shortcode. Just the link to the video.
4 years ago in reply to: #fvp_etc. link makes page scrollI found a solution by calling Flowplayer javascript myself inside the link.
:-) It works! Sorry to bother you.
4 years ago in reply to: #fvp_etc. link makes page scrollAh excuse me, Vimeo doesn’t want to show the video. I uploaded it to youtube so you guys can see: https://youtu.be/BxTCJSVKWf4
4 years ago in reply to: Vimeo videos not playing in safari onlyThe video on your website does work by the way.
The problem persists on my staging website and the one I sent you guys. Still no video in safari and chrome works perfectly.
If I disable mpeg dash the problem also disappears.
4 years ago in reply to: Vimeo videos not playing in safari onlyAh, apparently my safari is 13.1.2
And mac os is 10.15.6It might have to do with the latest update because I had 0 problems and did not change anything on my website, but my mac did update itself a few days ago to this latest version…
4 years ago in reply to: Vimeo videos not playing in safari onlyI managed to reproduce the error on a clean wordpress install that I pushed to a flywheel staging site so you can see it.
If you go to this url:
(redacted)You will see the vimeo embed.
I tested on my new Macbook pro 16 and my girlfriends older Macbook. Same result.
This is clean wordpress, foliovision plugin plus pro extension, enable vimeo, don’t change anything and use the shortcode to embed te video on the website.
If you need to actually log in to the admin I have to send you credentials another way, but since this is a 100% clean wordpress site you should be able to reproduce this anywhere.
Thanks in advance,
Rob4 years ago in reply to: Vimeo captions remain enabled by defaultHey Juraj,
First of all, thank you for checking it out!
I have more details that you actually might be able to reproduce.
The situation is as follows:
– When visiting a page for the first time and playing a video subtitles are indeed off. No problems there.
– When the subtitles are enabled, they will remain enabled, also when reloading the page. This is also fine behaviour. It’s good that the player remembers.
– BUT even after turning the subtitles off and then reloading the page, the player seems to remember it wrong and immediately shows subtitles again the next time te page is visited. It’s impossible to turn the subtitles off by default until you delete all website cookies.Again, thanks for taking the time to investigate.
4 years ago in reply to: Vimeo captions remain enabled by defaultOh, some more info:
Tested in latest versions of Chrome and Safari.
Latest version of WordPress, all plugins up to date.
