Hi Maria,
I got confused because I didn’t see the icon so I assumed Chromecast isn’t enabled. Yes, I want the Chromecast icon to be always present. That way users will know that such a feature is available.
Regards.
Hi Maria,
Your comment left me scratching my head. Anyone that plays the video link I shared will realize that Chromecast is not available. I’ve made a screenshot of both streams. See attached pls.
Hi Martin,
I tested with an MP4 stream and still no Chromecast button (http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/gtv-videos-bucket/sample/VolkswagenGTIReview.mp4)
These are the URLs of both streams (MP4 and HLS .m3u8) on my website:
MP4 – https://veva-media.com/title/12/
HLS – https://veva-media.com/title/123/Thanks
I just upgraded to FV Player 7.5.29 but still, the Chromecast button is not showing up. None of the streams here have Chromecast enabled so I’m not sure why you want me to check them: https://foliovision.com/player/demos/hls-stream
Please note that I have used Chromecast before with FV Player but suddenly the button stops showing up.
Hi Martin and many thanks for the response. I tested again and realise that the Rewind/Forward buttons are not available once the Live Stream box is ticked. But if I leave the box unchecked, even if I’m streaming live, the Rewind/Forward buttons appear in the player and works the way it should. See attached.
The second issue is Chromecast. It’s not working even after enabling it in Setup > Sitewide FV Player Defaults.
Regards
2 years ago in reply to: Full width on mobileI’m testing the player with Elementor using shortcodes but I’m having a hard time using it. There’s an element in Elemetor Pro called Media Carousel. I’m able to add shortcodes by using the Dynamic Tags feature but the shortcode isn’t active. Please see attached.
2 years ago in reply to: Full width on mobileHi Maria, I think the issue is directly from AWS IVS. I have sent them an email so they’re looking into it. Meanwhile, is there a WP video theme that uses FV Player as the default player? Thanks
2 years ago in reply to: Full width on mobileAnother question: Am I limited to the number of concurrent live-streams I can show/play with the free trial?
2 years ago in reply to: Full width on mobileHey Maria are you there?

You forgot to address the first issues I raised about the height of the player. I attached an image and indicated where the issue is using a white marker.

240p missing issue – I’m not hosting videos. I’m actually live streaming, using OBS, to AWS IVS. An HLS .m3u8 url is then generated by AWS which I play using FV Player. When playing the .m3u8 url using IVS sample player, there’s an option for 240p but none when using FV Player.

Regarding the Chromecast feature, I can leave it out now for later use.

240p bitrate isn’t available. How can that be fixed? After 160p then 240p before 360p. Pls see attached

I’m not sure why I must first tap the screen before the player appears. No player shows on the WP website until I tap the screen. How can I correct that?
Thanks
2 years ago in reply to: Full width on mobileHi Maria and thanks for the response. I used the css code you provided but encountered another problem; the player/video height. Please see attached image.
Same issue with Chromecast; I’m connected to the same wi-fi but still no cast icon in the player. -
