What setting do we need to configure so youtube views are tracked?

Since adding the FV player for all videos we don’t see any YouTube views tracking any more. Do I need to change some settings so this works?

Hello Leland Z,

When it comes to YouTube usage with external players it can get a little tricky. YouTube algorithm counts views only if the video is started via the native YouTube play button.

We’ve discussed this topic with our development team and only way to do this is to show YouTube play button instead of FV Player’s native one. The problem is that this will prevent autoplay and playlist auto advance from working properly and it can also result into issues with ads.
