How Do I Stop YouTube Scripts from Loading?

Hello guys,

FV Player loads YouTube scripts, including pinging external scripts from YouTube, yet I’m not using/embedding YouTube videos.

How do I stop this from happening? The weight is JavaScript from these unused scripts is enormous.

Hello Deewin,

It should not be happening, unless you are using the “Load FV Flowplayer JS everywhere” setting of FV Player.

So please disable that and verify that your videos still work.

Okay, I had disabled it, but it was still showing. After some time it cleared. So, I guess the cache was yet to globally propagate.

Hello Deewin,

If you use a WordPress cache plugin, then you need to purge its cache after making a global configuration change. That applies to any plugin, not just FV Player.

If you use Cloudflare or some similar caching which sits on top of your WordPress website, then it needs to be cleared too.
