    Hi Guys,

    We have gone live with our new website and are getting multiple reports about the fv player loading the video to some point and then stopping and not loading any more. I have since tested this and have found it happening as well. Some people have also reported getting HTML 5 errors although i have not been able to replicate this. Is there any fix for this?

    **URGENT**

    This is now an urgent issue. It doesn’t happen every single time a user watches a video, please do not give up when you see it working. Users reporting all over the world are having issues on our site with the video player.

    This a becoming a massive issue, Please help! I know I have a couple of tickets open here but this takes priority.

    Hi Luke,

    It seems that you have set the expiration time of the URL signature to just 15 minutes, while the video is 45 minutes long. Is it possible that someone watches the video for let’s say 20 minutes, the video buffers to 3/4 and when he seeks to the end of the video, the URL is already expired?

    Could you please also check the Video Checker and see what message are you getting?

    Hi Eduard,

    That seems to have fixed the issue on desktops but we are still getting problems on mobile devices even after they have cleared their cache. Any idea why that might be? Thanks in advance for your help

    The settings should be same for desktop and mobile. Are you still getting this issue? And what does the Video Checker report?

    I can see the encoding message to get a higher quality bit-rate but the quality of the video is fine. is there anything else in the message that would suggest problems?

    Hi Luke,

    The message says that you should encode your video to a higher bitrate with Baseline profile, instead of the current High Profile. The High Profile is mainly for bigger screens and Baseline is especially good for mobile devices because their lower computing power.

    Some of the older Android and iOS devices can have problems with playing videos encoded with non-Baseline profiles, so you could give it a try and re-encode it with HandBrake. Let me know if you need help with that.

    I am facing the exact same problem.

    I set the default cache expiration time is 0.

    My videos are hosted on nshamim.com and I request you check some videos and let me know what causing the problem.
