Using FolioPress WYSIWYG along side default wordpress image uploader

Can I use Foliopress editor for text in WordPress, but insert images with the default image uploader? I’m finding the Folio image manager to be too cumbersome slow.

Agreed. Wish there was the option to shut off the image manager.

    Hello Robin and ActivePuente,

you can bring back the original WordPress Uploader buttons which appear above the editor area.

Just head to WP Admin Dashboard –> Settings –> Foliopress WYSIWYG –> Enable WordPress uploader buttons.

    Thanks,
    Martin

Has the WP dashboard changed dramatically in the past 6 months? There’s no Foliopress WYSIWYG under Settings. So where do I go to bring back the original uploader?

At any rate, your uploader is extremely confusing. The first time I uploaded a pic, there was a link to where I could add a border and padding around the image. After saving the options, I could never find a link back to it. Also, you only allow option to add black border, not to select border color. After that, I was taken through 2 different other interfaces, none of which allowed for adding border or padding. Then going to gallery, there’s no link to insert image. Very, very strange.

    Hello Jason,

Foliopress WYSIWYG has no problems with the most recent WordPress versions, it shows up in the Settings properly.

Once the image is inserted, you can right click it and change some of its properties. However we need to clean up that dialog box, as changing styling like that is not a good practice. It’s better to setup a few classes for the images in your CSS and then apply the classes using the Formating drop down menu. You can read about how it’s done in our Foliopress WYSIWYG installation guide

    Thanks,
    Martin
