There are several websites which use FV Player to teach playing a musical instrument. We got a request from one of our users: he would like to let students transpose his guitar lessons to match their guitar tuning.
So we created the new Pitch Shifter feature and made it part of FV Player Pro version 8.0.27 which was released today.
The Pitch Shifter shows as a “note” button on the player control bar:
Clicking the button shows the menu to let you transpose the pitch of the audio track by +/- 5 semitones.
Once you select the desired pitch, it shows next to the button:
This feature works together with the speed control as well.

Note: The pitch shifter functionality does not work with Safari and iOS due to core browser limitations.
The Pitch Shifter feature is enabled on a per-player basis. First it needs to be checked in wp-admin -> FV Player -> Settings -> Post Interface Options -> Pitch Shifter. Then you can enable it for any of your players using Options -> Controls -> Pitch Shifter in FV Player Editor.
