The chapters in YouTube are far from ideal – you actually have to enter the exact timecodes in the video description:
But they really make the videos easier to navigate.
So we added a function to FV Player Pro which automatically imports the chapters for YouTube videos. Here’s a YouTube video with its chapters showing on timeline:

The chapters import is simple, as you just insert the video and they appear automatically.
Recently YouTube started to automate the chapters creation. It’s the Automatic Chapters feature which is enabled in the Content section of YouTube Studio.
We are still working on importing these chapters, as they are not part of the YouTube API calls.
