JW Player is a video player for web. Over time it became a full-blown video platform – giving you everything you need to succeed at your online video goals. Advantages of such approach are clear – you do not have to worry about your own video encoding and video hosting and just enjoy the overall trouble-free experience.
But it can lead to a vendor lock-in too – making it hard to switch to another video streaming solution.
Flowplayer followed the same model too.
We believe that a strong video player should let you use any kind of video hosting that you like (and at the same time make it easy to add new videos, which we accomplish with FV Player Coconut).
We just released FV Player JW Player which integrates JW Player platform with our WordPress plugin called FV Player. It can come handy if you are thinking about switching to some other video platform or if you just want the FV Player features.
With FV Player JW Player you can connect your JW Player account to your WordPress website and then play the videos with URL tokens for basic download protection.
