Hi Lucia,
I’ve created several pairs of keys, double-checking them, but without success. I also tried removing the user entirely and creating a new one, and also adding a new bucket in your plugin rather than editing the details of the first one, in case they weren’t overwriting, but no luck.
I am pasting the full error message below, in case that is of any help. One thing I did notice is that the access key in the url matches, but the signature is not the same as the ‘secret access key’ entered in your plugin. Is that relevant?
It is frustrating, as the process seems simple enough, and should be working – perhaps I’m missing something obvious?
Here is the full error message from checking video:
Mime Type: application/xml
Video:Amazon S3: The request signature we calculated does not match the signature you provided. Check your key and signing method.

Many apologies for posting twice – I tried once, but got no notification that the reply had been posted, and it didn’t show up on the forum, so I assumed I’d made a mistake.
Thanks for the continued help. I have now followed all the steps in the guide successfully, but am still having trouble getting the videos to play. However, I’ll post my latest problem in a new query.
Kind regards,
John
Many thanks for your quick reply. I’ve found the right policy, but do have two more (quick?) questions…
Firstly, step 27 of your guide says check the proper mime type in the metatab data for the file. However, for my .m4v file, there is no appropriate content-type in the dropdown menu. The default is application/octet-stream – is that OK?
Secondly, in the ‘region’ field of your plugin, there are a strange selection of regions to choose from. Is this field important, and if so, does it matter that you do not have the UK (my region) to pick from?
Thanks again for your support,
John
