Thanks for your help. Our organization supports kids with special needs. The ability to show large text subtitles when full-screen would be a great asset.
Hi – I know about this setting thanks. The problem is, when viewing in fullscreen, the typeface remains the same size (as set here: Settings > FV Player > Skin tab > Subtitles) I need the type to be bigger when in fullscreen.

I have the captions working but wanted to know how/where do I change the text on the caption toggle. “No subtitles” makes sense, but I think some might be confused with “Default (en)”. I would like to change that.
Thanks
Gary10 years ago in reply to: Closed Captions ButtonHello
I have upgraded both the FV wordpress player and Player Pro (versions 6.0.3.8 and 0.5.7) The player show the control to toggle captions on and off, but no captions show. I have tried both .srt and .vtt files with no luck. Is there some secret to getting this to run?
Thanks

That’s great news. We are getting ready to launch a new website and captions would be a big plus! Is this player available now. Do I upgrade the player and pro part to the latest and we are good to go?
Cheers
Gary
10 years ago in reply to: Closed Captions ButtonHi Martin
Any updates on toggling captions on and off. My bosses are getting a bit cranky that this feature is not yet implemented on our site. (We are about special needs and access so no captions is a big problem. The bosses are asking about using a different player, but i am trying to stall and stay with your player)
Thanks
Gary
10 years ago in reply to: Closed Captions Button10 years ago in reply to: Closed Captions ButtonAbout a year back, I was asking about being able to turn captions (subtitles) on and off. It was suggested that was “in the brew”. Is there a way that the user can toggle captions on/off. Any solutions would be very handy, as our organization supports those with special needs and we have many visually challenged users.
Thanks
Hi – When the video was just embedded on the page the fullscreen button would display but not when contained within a “Toggle”. The toggle width was clipping a few pixels from the video (on the right side), just enough that the fullscreen switch would disappear. I have reduced the size of that clip to fit within the toggle css requirements.
Now if I could figure out how to show/hide subtitles, like a CC button, this project would be complete!
11 years ago in reply to: Closed CaptioningThanks for the reply. I am calling video and poster from another server in our domain. The video by itself will play just fine, but I get “html5: Subtitles not found” when trying to add the subtitles. Any thoughts? thanks
