Modify subtitles CSS to display larger for fullscreen

[Solved]

Foliovision › Forums › FV Player › How to … › Modify subtitles CSS to display larger for fullscreen

  • gbowman 7 years, 5 months ago

How do I find and modify the CSS that controls how subtitles display? It works fine, but when a user selects fullscreen video, I would like the subtitle typeface size to be larger (scaleable). Thanks for your help…

    Hello,

You can modify the subtitles’ font size, font face, opacity and colour in Settings > FV Player > Skin tab > Subtitles. You can read more detailed information in this guide – Customizing FV Player Skin.

    Thanks,
    Eduard

Hi – I know about this setting thanks. The problem is, when viewing in fullscreen, the typeface remains the same size (as set here: Settings > FV Player > Skin tab > Subtitles) I need the type to be bigger when in fullscreen.

    Hello,

I’ll discuss this with our design department and see what could be done about this.

    Thanks,

Thanks for your help. Our organization supports kids with special needs. The ability to show large text subtitles when full-screen would be a great asset.

    Hello gbowman,

We discussed this within our team and we decided to enlarge the font size in fullscreen. It will even be editable via CSS, if you need to change the size to fit your needs. This will be probably implemented in the next update, or the one after that, so I’ll let you know when it’s available.

    Thanks,
    Eduard

    Hi Eduard,

We’re experiencing the same issue with subtitle size in full screen. Has the update been realized for this?

    Hello Mike,

FV Player 6.4.1 with the fix in it is out now.

    Thanks,
    Martin
