Hello Martin, thanks for the explanation – I now have a better sense of what’s going on. If I understand correctly, FV Player Pro is automating the line/paragraph breaks; for my purposes, that’s unfortunate, since my content consists sometimes of paragraph-style narration, and sometimes short lines of dialogue. It makes sense to have a lot of short cues for subtitles, but transcripts can be different – I often have a cue of only about every 15 seconds for narration, but much more often for dialogue, and I need to be able to allow for the difference.
Perhaps at some point there could be a toggle for whether FV Player checks for sentences etc., or whether it just goes strictly by the cues? Otherwise I’m not sure I’ll be able to use it after all. :(
Just want to chime in with another expression of interest in this feature (an option to show or hide a transcript). I’m working on a project involving listening skills for language learners, and this would make the interactive transcripts even more helpful, so I hope you’re still considering this.
