Youtube Playlist – flash: Video file not found

[Solved]

    Hi
I’ve just installed the FV plugin with license. I need to play playlists.
If I use a src attribute the youtube video URL, it works fine. If I paste the playlist URL instead, the message, after pressing play is: “flash: Video file not found”.

You can check a temporary page here:
    http://dev.calcioefinanza.it/2016/05/28/foliovision-test/

    How to fix it?

    regards
    fabio

    Hello Fabio,

could you please check if your have setup the Google Developer Key? The steps to obtain it are available here: https://foliovision.com/player/video-hosting/youtube-with-fv-player -> Connecting with the Google Developer Console

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hello,

I’m not able to show the youtube video titles when using the pro-feature youtube playilst. Is there any attribute I should set in the shortcode?

    Regards
    Fabio

    Hello Fabio,

please post your messages directly to our forums.

So it seems like my suggestion helped. If you want to show captions, then add captions=”true” to the shortcode.

I see we need to put that into the documentation.

    Thanks,
    Martin

thanks. I tried bt the captions does not work
Can you check my shortcode: [fvplayer src="https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7jWjWYv3mMQQGDU0D8RTzYuk2tl_0QNt" captions="true" liststyle="prevnext"]

    Thanks

    Hello Fabio,

captions in our plugin are the video titles as you can see them on this playlist: https://foliovision.com/player/demos/youtube-playlist-support Since you are using liststyle=”prevnext” there are no playlist item thumbnails and no place for these captions.

Or are you looking for a way of showing the YouTube subtitles ?

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hello, thanks.
No : I want to show the video titles.
Now i swapped to the liststyle=”vertical” . I need a way to display the video title in both: the current video and those in thumbnails.

    Regards

    Hello Fabio,

our player currently doesn’t have a function to show the current video caption below the player, it only highlights it in the list of playlist items. I’ll talk about it in our team to see if we would like to add it.

    Thanks,
    Martin

Sorry but I’m not able to see the titles in any of the resulting frame areas.
Please let me know what are the video titles capabilities of the player when playing youtube playlists, and how to configure it to display them.
As said, I don’t find a way to display any kind of video title, from the youtube playlist

    Regards

    Hello Fabio,

I opened the link from your first post in this thread and I can see that you are not having the captions there.

I tried to use the same playlist on our site and we are not getting the captions either. We are checking the issue now.

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hello Fabio,

actually it’s just a typo. You should be adding caption=”true” to the shortcode and not captions=”true”. Sorry about that.

We also published a guide for it: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/adding-captions Section “Adding Captions to a YouTube Playlist” covers your situation exactly.

    Thanks,
    Martin
